the really interesting people that used to be active on this forum, have now at least 2 more zero's at the end of the number on their bank account - thats why you don't see them posting in here as much as they used to.

Am I the only one that wishes Wickedfire would return to it's former glory? The days when the best and the brightest posted here?

Instead we have political posts galore, or who is drowning who. Some of you think it was funny to start parody threads, but all it does is lessen the effect Wickedfire has on the overall economy. Big fucking woop Soupy is selling a course, there are worse people to be doing it. Big fucking deal if a dog is drowning, no one gives a fuck. Big fucking deal if I hate soccer, yall Euro-fags are just proving my point (get over it).

I wish somewhere some how, that we could return to power but we are not that far off from turning into a DP or Warrior Forum. Noobs need to be straightened out, shitty threads need to be put down, and at the end of the day we need to honestly know that we are a better source of information than anyone else. That has always made us great. That is why we have always put ourselves above the other forums.

So please, please, help stop the bullshit and realize that we are better than those other forums, and we can be the top source of information. We do not need to fall into the same tired pattern of other forums. Wickedfire is great because we can express ourselves without being banned, because we tell it like it is.

We need to reform to stay relevant. We need to castrate those who are not meant to be here. We need to stand up for what is right for the collective or suffer the consequences, because we are not doing ourselves any kind of justice.

I owe more to Wickedfire than most. I've learned, I've grown, I've gained recognition with research. I owe my current job to Wickefire. I think most people who've been here a while have done the same, and we have something special here. This is what keeps us above the typical status quo.

STS is for time wasting. There's great stuff in the other forums. If you can't see that you're not looking hard enough.

This forum is nothing like WaFo or DP, particularly since idiots and attention whores get shouted at/dick rolled here until they leave.

This is my favorite IM forum since newbies are barely tolerated.

There's a lot of amazing content in this forum, just not in STS. If you can't see it, the problem's with you.

I'm not in any click here and have received incredible advice through this forum just by browsing. And I'm happy to share my advice when it's something I actually have experience in - I'm happy to give back since I've received so much from this forum.

I didn't read the whole thread, and this may have been said before... but, it's pretty much the natural life-cycle of a forum. Word got out that it was a good forum, got blown up by retards, now it's over. Been over for a while IMO.
 
I propose a simple solution to this problem. A randomized un-googlable IQ + spamming & development knowledge + interweb general knowledge test for all registrations. Put existing members through it too. And charge per post, and decrease the fee per post as the postcount of an unbanned member increases.

You must have been speaking with someone from the team because this is going to be part of the new BST area, and extending to the primary forum areas too, but not as heavily.

As for everyone else... Where do you find the time to give a shit and post so often?

A person in any industry or topic range that participates in a forum for the use of education and knowledge should take something away from the following quotes:

"Those Who Know Don't Say -- Those Who Say Don't Know"

This is really why most of you may feel that there is a serious lack of good information provided on the forums these days:

"When you've become the expert at something - it can be tough to put aside what you know. That's when the curse of knowledge kicks in."

See, as affiliates, you're all competitors too. Once that becomes apparent, you find it tough to be willing to continue sharing with the rest of the community because as we all know, information is power in this game. So most people hit a certain level where sharing is no longer caring. Or those who have failed just keep wanting more free info on how to do shit.

The worst are those guys and girls out there who think that affiliate marketing or internet marketing is when someone holds your hand (like asking your affiliate manage for all traffic sources, campaign information, etc). No creativity at all. These people, do not belong in our industry. These are also the typical loud ones on here or in the industry. They just want things to work out for them. So they either go off and make a blog and brag about shit they have never really done. They make products and services that aren't really valuable (Wafo style), or they become seminar guys who just pitch the same shit you can find here, but for a fee of like $10k. This group also happens to make up the majority of the industry.

Look, I'm glad that people are so revved up to talk about changes being made, but talk is cheap. Any of you that are agreeing with the OP are not wrong, but you guys could have easily just made a thread that was actually useful and exactly on target with what you claim we're lacking. But you didn't. Because its easier to SAY that it is to DO.

If you need hand holding, get a fucking babysitter.
If you need someone to talk to, go to a fucking psychologist.
If you just want to make friends, join Facebook.
But if you want to make real fucking money, come here, read, communicate, network, share, grow and actually do it. Otherwise, just fuck off and keep lying to yourselves elsewhere.

i fully agree on your post as i usually agree with most of your posts... except for this little tidbit.. i actively leverage my AMs knowledge and resources (traffic sources, Landers, promotion thoughts, etc). The only reason this flies is because they know that im going to return the favor with a decent amount of volume per our history. I dont feel this makes me some affiliate bitch looking to get his hand held though.. other than that, spot on, although some upper level changes might keep stuff fresh, but who fucking knows

There are exceptions to every rule. Nothing wrong at all with what you're doing. More than likely you will get special treatment and or advice from your AM because of your history.
 
I agree that we should always be trying to post quality posts (besides the casual funny posts), so that we can always share and help each other out in our internet marketing career.

I tend to agree there are too many posers posting too many crap within the forum. That being said, I still think wicked fire is a good forum and I will stick around!

I agree. We're competitors... WF was a good starting point for me but beyond getting the tidbits to getting started the rest was really up to me.

I'm not rich but I've finally started making money and it was thanks to this forum.
