Gallup poll today shows 47-47.
Yeah, it's in the bag for Obama.
Tracking polls mean nothing. This election will be decided by 6 states - Florida, Ohio, Colorado, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Iowa. Romney needs to win all 6 of them. He's currently losing all of them.
FiveThirtyEight gives Obama a 76% chance of victory, with a likely 308-230 electoral college total. It's not guaranteed, but as long as he get caught with a dead girl or a live boy, he will more likely than not cruise into a second term.
There was a great article earlier today that shows how likely it is that many polls may be tilting too much toward Republicans by not counting cellphone-only households at all or using too little of a correction to compensate for them.
All of Romney's gaffes this week, including the hilarious assertion that he put on "fake tan" bronzer before appearing on Telemundo in order to appear more appealing to Hispanics, is all political theater. Yeah, it's ultimately bullshit that nobody really ought to find surprising. But every day Romney fucks around is another day lost for him to try to catch up. His campaign has been horribly run.
Polls in Pennsylvania keep pointing to an Obama blowout, so it looks like I'll be voting for Jill Stein anyway. That must grind WickedFire's collective gears, huh?
