Yes sooo.. politics aside this is shit is INTENSE.

I lost count of how many bullet puffs I saw around him. Hell just the terrain he's walking on is nearly as hazardous as the bullets flying at him.

that guy must of had a death wish. running in the open with no backup?

also afghanistan looks nicer than i imagined. might have to vacay there sometime

Use the scope you nigger

also scope wouldn't shoot shit from that distance with that gun, but might show him what he's looking at...

and where's the outrage at tax dollars being spent for stupid shit?

Hope you guys enjoyed watching that; it's your tax dollars at work fighting the Taliban that were originally supported by US tax dollars to fight the Soviets.

Has this guy been trained? What the fuck is going on here? What he does makes no sense at all. Running about on an open hillside in direct line of fire seems pretty dumb. Most other footage of firefights show the soldiers scrambling for cover as soon as shit hits the fan.

From the soldier:

" I got a hit a total of 4 times. My helmet cam died and i made it down the mountain on my own. I was also hit in the side of my helmet and my eye pro was shot off of my face. We were doing overwatch on the village to recon and gather intel. I was point heading down the face of the hill with the LT. when we got hit. the rest of the squad was pinned down by machine gun fire. I didn't start the video until a few mins into the firefight for obvious reasons. I came out into the open to draw fire so my squad could get to safety."

"A round struck the tube by my hand of the 203 grenade launcher which knocked it out of my hands. When I picked the rifle back up it was still functional but the grenade launcher tube had a nice sized 7.62 cal bullet hole in it and was rendered useless. "

Also, prior to getting hit, he gets next to a large rock that'd at least shield a reasonable amount of his body from the fire, and instead for some reason he decides to lie next to this tiny little rock that barely shields his head?..

He was trained by Call of Duty.

The bait always get's fucked. Surely military tactics have evolved beyond "you draw fire and we'll flank them"?

Doing recon in broad daylight? No wonder they are losing over there. Jesus.

When are these things getting deployed with some firearms?

I have to assume that the tactical criticism in this thread is mostly coming from recliner jockeys who have logged far too many hours in Call Of Duty and not actual (or former) soldiers

That's the thing though. It literally looked like something from Call of Duty because it was insanely reckless and poorly thought out. This guy must really think his life is cheap.
