Probably the loss factor is in effect. You need to understand that if you dump her or cheated on her you wouldn't feel the same way. She played her card first and you get to feel the recipient effect.

Use your head and let your mental status know you're suffering from a simple human emotion that anybody goes through when faced with the same scenario.

Sorry to hear, I went through a divorce a few years ago, and just like with your situation, kids weren't in the mix, so you can cut off all contact if you like.

Right now it sucks for you because you're so used to having her around at all times, but the amount of freedom you have now will feel amazing when it stops hurting. To be honest my marriage now feels more like a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship rather than a marriage (although it was only five years). I remember how great it felt though to be independent again. To be able to play sports whenever I wanted to, go out with friends, etc.

It's a new chapter in your life. Try to enjoy it.

Sadly, so damn true. Sex as a weapon makes me want to slap a bitch right in their bitch mouth. I have reserved the right to slap a fucktard upside the head when I hear of this from/or about them.

OP, there are good women out there. They do exist. Just be open to finding her someday. Until then. There is some good advice here. My two sense: learn to live single again, without a wife/significant other, before you do more than get your dick wet.

Don't move.

Don't change your profession.

There's no children involved here, and according to the googles 95% of US divorces are uncontested, meaning both parties enter the court room with an agreement already reached.

As far as property distribution goes, moral behaviors and such are irrelevant nowadays in most/many US states. 50/50 split is normal; even if one of the people was a serial killer.

Sorry to hear that... There isn't a lot anyone can say right now that will make you feel better; only time will do that. However, it will get better. It always does.

Try to keep busy and keep yourself focused on a goal. Dedicate yourself to that goal for 3 weeks. It can be anything... Quit drinking... Work out... Write a short story. It doesn't matter... After 3 weeks, see where you are at with your healing process and set another goal.

Stay committed to these short term goals and as you complete each one you will slowly gain your confidence and self esteem back that was partly taken away from you!

You know what Voshko - you're correct. OP - Ignore everything else in this thread - this chap has nailed it. Forget anything I said about my personal experience. Forget everything everyone else has said about their own experience. In fact, you can start ignoring every single answer to a question about anything - IM, SEO, Traffic, Design, Development & Marketing if it's written by something with experience.
