I'm definitely a 4 & 5, bleeding into a 6, with a little bit of 3 mixed in.

I really don't fit into any of these categories. I like just about very type of music other than country. Every type of music has an appropriate time and place for me to listen to it.

+1 for LH Bass players:

I've always found it interesting that guitar / bass players use their dominant hand for plucking / strumming, and their non-dominant hand for all the complicated chords and note progressions. lol wut.

Because it's in charge of the tempo.

Pretty sure "Kreatrock" is supposed to be Krautrock. CAN are one of my favourite bands.

I'm 1 to 6.

When you're a true music fan, you can learn to appreciate any type of music, depending on the mood/setting/occasion.

Only high-school acne faces are stuck to 1 style in a desperate attempt to be part of a group and build an identity.

Sheesh. All the hate up in here. It's not as if these categories are scientifically studied and peer-reviewed. It was just a mildly amusing picture I found with a slight correlation to some of the music I happen to listen to.

And yeah, it's not as if I only listen to one type of music. That's just silly.

Normal Pleb listening to Jazz. Right.

is 6 times superior to:

(ignore the guy talking over the awesome music)

I'm none of the 1-6 because I only like Somalian bongo trance (only the really non-commercial heavy thrash ones though)

I find that spotify's recommendation system is so bad in the radio that it turns into an enjoyable experience over time with the amount of random stuff I end up listening to. With Pandora, I always listened to everything I liked but it got repetitive. With Spotify, I never hear a song twice but need to skip stuff every once in a while but because of this process have discovered a whole bunch of shit I'd have never picked on my own.

THIS.

Music power struggles at gatherings demonstrate the point made in the graphic. Level 1ers are intolerant of stuff outside their preferences, while people with more sophisticated tastes are used to adapting and compromise. Those at the base of the pyramid rule via group think.

People stuck in level 1 indefinitely are usually Pharisees with bland tastes in everything from beer, cocktails, art, food, cultural experiences, etc. People that can hang with stuff level 3 and up are without much exception those I get along with the best.

LOL, you get it. And also let's not ignore the fact that the image is making gross overstatements, and is not to be taken literally (which apparently was not obvious to some). I just find it to be an amusing picture based on my own personal experience with some music enthusiasts I've met.
