Iowa Caucuses

I don't understand how Santorum won? If it's true he doesn't have a lot of money, how the fuck could he get the exposure he needs to pull off such a significant number? I could have believed Perry or Newt, but Santorum??? Fucking shit sounds rigged.

The loss is saddening. I'm not American but I was hoping and fighting for a Ron Paul victory. I spent several thousand of my own money to launch Facebook and Adwords marketing campaigns to help out the cause because I believe in the message -it's not exclusively American, it's a universal human message.

I don't like mixing business with either the personal or politics, but I'm heartened by all the Ron Paul support on here.

I really encourage everyone who supports him to keep on track and stay on message; push ahead! We not just fighting a nomination here. We are fighting a battle of ideology that will last in to the future.

We are all marketers on here. We understand persuasion and how to reach and sell people online -and off. We need to use it. I tried doing my part through PPC because that is where my my strength lies as a drm. If your strength is SEO, guest blogging, ppc, etc use it.

IMO we can still win the nomination though the odds are against us. Keep fighting on. I'm moving my ppc campaigns over to NH and SC come tomorrow. Nothing is decided yet -the competition is ridiculously weak and divided. Our job is to conquer hearts and unite the divided.

You are fucking awesome.

Playing competitive sports all my life, I cant possibly throw in the towel on Ron Paul, fight till the end bros, a close 3rd is solid on the first state, more to come.

I'm going to try to pretend that Paul's still got a chance now. He deserves no less.

But I can't help thinking this film might have some insight to why Scrotorum won tonight:

I wanted to add, I have been talking to erect about RP for a good year now, but the election the last 6 months. I really believe RP needed to win Iowa.

That said, if he somehow manages to pull out a NH win, and Perry drops out, its on. I think that's a slim chance, and if Perry endorses Santorum thats bad, but its possible however remote.

Not winning NH though will make it pretty much impossible to win later.

Not all is lost yet, folks. If they want to play shady back room deals, we can do that.
Hey, sending more delegates isn't shady... That's called #winning!

Oh what a clusterfuck that would be... The GOP is so dead-set against Paul but what happens if all the delegates show up to the RNC with Paul on their ticket?

:confused::confused::confused:

There has always been a slim chance.

If anything, I come out of this whole experience (even without a win) thankful that enough people paid attention to his message to put him solidly in the top 3, ahead of Newt and Perry who received much much more media attention throughout the last 6 months than Paul has.

A win in NH would be nice, but even without one moving forward I think its important to remember the attention he's received without the backing of the party, media, etc.

In my eyes a portion of the population is waking up. Maybe in 50 years we will be able to say that real changes were springboarded by a presidential hopeful that fought for 30 years to place 3rd in the Iowa caucus but never strayed from his beliefs.

Tonight hurt, no doubt, watching the late polls roll in was excruciating. Freeport is a real option now.

Ron Paul just invited on the soldier who was cut off, and is now on CNN. Will they cut him off again?

If you guys paid attention to our savvy leader ... you'll see exactly what he did there. That soldier's face was just plastered on national TV twice. The first he got his message potentially censored, then cnn turned down the crowd noise to almost zero because they knew what he was going to say. The cheers from the American citizens would have been deafening. When they found out the Paul camp was bluffing with him speaking there and now, they turned the noise back up.

Watch those 2 clips and the cnn editing job and realize they happened within 30 minutes of each other and it really points out the truth.

Massive commercial that's going to turn some heads coming soon.

Media Blackout + Troops Support

Tonight hurt badly, I'm not sugar coating anything or talking about momentum. Those 2000 votes probably cost us $10M. The best thing that came out tonight is that RP IS a legit candidate. He earned the right in the public's eyes. But now we're going to have to pay a premium for every vote.

I'm not throwing in towel, nor do I think any of you are either. I feel the pain, I do. It's not nearly as disheartening as last time around, you have to at least admit that. I was floored he played so weak in '08

Exactly. The caucus doesn't end with the big vote in the news tonight. Ron Paul might have ended up with more of his supporters as delegates than Santorum and Romney combined. The Ron Paul campaign and supporters were going into the delegate election process very organized and prepared. The media doesn't cover that part of the process as much.

Somebody should let the Washington Examiner's "Senior Political Columnist" know that the Republican National Convention is going to be in Tampa, not Orlando.

How about we all take 6 deligates and call it a night ....

Iowa Republican Delegation 2012

also remember that Iowa picked Huck last time (evangelical vote) and he tanked faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast

Paul will get more than 6 delegates, but when it comes to awarding delegates, Iowa is very weak. What Iowa does is give momentum, and help direct the sidelines money.

The vote tonight was non-binding. It was a straw vote. The delegates got elected after the straw vote, and they are also not bound, so they could all vote to give state level delegates to Paul, and those delegates could give Paul national level delegates.

But that's not until June.

Came to post this article.

And I'm not taking Iowa too hard. If you look at the bulk of Santorum votes they were from the back woods of Iowa. I'm looking forward to laughing at him falling as fast as he rose when Hew Hampshire, Florida, and Nevada hit.

....and Santorum got exactly 666 votes in Pottawattamie county thus proving that he is the devils candidate.
