PAGING ALL SOCIALISTS & MURIKANS THAT AREN'T LIBERTARIAN YET....

Let's do this.

Since we seem to still have some misguided socialists around here that do not even recognize what freedom is, and that lack of recognition keeps sidetracking threads like the recent Mars Rover one, I thought I'd tidy this place up a bit and start this new thread to argue within.

A great starting place for this argument would be today's Sovereign Man email, which I thought was awesomely put and relevant to this topic. Read it if you're ready to have your ideas of freedom and democracy shredded:

Simon Black said:
Last Friday, US Congressman Dennis Kucinich introduced HR 6357, a bill which aims to 'prohibit the extrajudicial killing of United States citizens' by the federal government. In other words, in the Land of the Free, they need to pass a law to prevent the government from indiscriminately murdering its own citizens.

Now if this doesn't give one reason to pause and consider the distortions of liberty that have taken place in western civilization, I don't know what will. Think about it:

  • Does a free society send government hit men to eliminate anyone they perceive to be an enemy of the state?
  • Does a free society have hundreds of police agencies, each with the authority to deprive a man of his life, liberty and property in their sole discretion?
  • Does a free society have hundreds of thousands of laws, codes, rules, regulations, and policies which effectively criminalize nearly every aspect of one's existence?
  • Does a free society lead the world in prison population?
  • Does a free society hunt down criminals and terrorists by treating its citizens like criminals and terrorists?
  • Does a free society tell its citizens what foods they are / are not allowed to consume?
  • Does a free society steal your money at gunpoint to buy bombs that they drop by remote control on brown people in faraway lands?
  • Does a free society debase its currency and plunder the purchasing power of its citizens?
  • Does a free society saddle unborn generations with obligations they never signed up to bear?
  • Does a free society award near total control of the economy, the money supply, and everything tied to it, to a tiny elite few?
  • Does a free society brainwash its citizens into believing that they live in a free society? (at least the Chinese know they're not free...)

Ask yourself, are you really living in a free society? Are you free? If not, why not? What else could possibly be more important?

It takes courage to answer honestly. But once you realize the truth and begin to see the system for what it is, it can be a liberating and life-changing experience.

You'll find that there are places where you can live free in this world. There are ways to preserve your dignity, your privacy, your livelihood. You'll find that you can build great camaraderie and mutual trust with like-minded souls because you share the same values, not the same color passport.

My guess is that you're reading this because you've already started down the road to freedom. But you might feel alone... intellectually isolated in a sea of automatons.

You're not alone. More and more people are waking up every day and beginning to realize the incredible fraud that has been perpetrated against them. When enough of them figure it out, this system will be finished.

That's why I fundamentally believe that today is one of the most exciting times to be alive since the French Revolution. And we're just getting warmed up.

If you have any friends or loved ones who still exemplify that self-deluded, bombastic serf mentality, I encourage you to pass this along to them... and challenge them to answer honestly.

And just for good measure, I'll repost this awesome message too:

What would make you libertarians/anarchists happy? If all governments in the world ceased to exist? Most? Some?

What about those that prefer to live in a state? Would you deny them their freedom to do so? They aren't preventing you from living free of a state. You can't live free of a state within the territory of the state, obviously. But that's your problem, not theirs.

The tell is that the email specifies "brown" people. Why bring racial baiting into the argument? Is it because the author has an axe to grind?

The video is crap. While people should challenge their beliefs the voice over leaves no room that both types of people, in the beginning comparisons, are despicable. Oh, and all voters? They are all despicable? The hippy just wants everyone to be free? You really believe that?

All garbage. I would like to have better from you LukeP.

Didn't read, here for my free like.

What about those that prefer to live in a state?

People don't know they don't want state. They don't think about it. They were born in state and don't know other options. They don't see taxes as oppression, they don't see all this nonsense government is feeding them with. They live happily being bothered with Facebook updates. It is just few feeling uncomfortable with state's dick inside their anuses. For me this dick went deeply enough to open my eyes.

ITT - faceblogger cares about WF likes... so gay :small-smiley-026:
Wickedfire likes are more important than any other social factor bro. My thread about gerbil anus bleaching received 30 wf likes and I ranked #1 overnight.

On topic, I've given up on hope for this country. As long as our voting population continues to care more about what black man Kim Kardashian is banging than new legislation that threatens their freedoms, we will continue to head straight for the shitter.

Why should I trust you when you had an epic fail? (Ron Paul will win still!)

Did people trust Nixon after Watergate?

Anarchy is not in opposition with voluntary associations. The Amish are looked at as anarchistic community. Their people are free to leave, they don't force outsiders to do anything and they want the same treatment in return.

"Which people in America today don’t serve in the military, pay no social security taxes, homeschool their children, and generally have convinced the federal government to leave them the hell alone? The Amish, in communities scattered throughout the U.S. and Canada, live in a state as close to property-based anarchy as you’re likely to find in the Western world."

I'm good friends with some amish in Charm OH, actual town, incredible amish mill there. I used to go fishing with some every saturday when I was in high school, I had a car, they had boats. Fucking great people. I'm anti fundamentalist religions except them because they never told me what to do. If you say Hi, Leeroy, you look good, after not seeing him for 5+ years he just shrugs and says ok. Not into appearances or useless talk. No makeup, no useless consumption, hands on make shit happen people. His son traps and sells furs in winter in addition to 20 other projects (woodworking, sawyering, fixing shit) making money. I even went to a wedding and Leeroy had to ask his wife if we could sit in on the heavy part.

What would make you libertarians/anarchists happy? If all governments in the world ceased to exist? Most? Some?
All, of course. They are all oppressors. Every last one of them, killers and theives and thugs. Why shouldn't we rejoice at their passing?

These people are just like children who have yet to be educated on the subject and sooner or later they will reject the state on their own... So I don't think we have to restrict their freedom at all; they'll want the state gone too once they see the alternative for themselves.

And if the whole planet has accepted anarchy except a few commies-at-heart who want to go form their own collective somewhere, I see no reason why they can't as long as they don't build up a sizable military. Perhaps then some problems might occur... Then again they could likely be solved well in advance with the resources of the entire recently-freed planet focused on it.

WTF are you talking about? America bombs Brown people 24/7/365. It is now carved in stone on the capital steps: "Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and bombing the shit out of all brown people not american."

???

The video is crap. While people should challenge their beliefs the voice over leaves no room that both types of people, in the beginning comparisons, are despicable. Oh, and all voters? They are all despicable? The hippy just wants everyone to be free? You really believe that?
LOL; I see someone here was uncomfortable watching that.

That video was AWESOME if for no other reason that it made you squirm, voter. Next time you watch it you might learn a truth or two.

Yes, ALL VOTERS are the problem. You go into a booth on a regular basis and choose between two masters to serve that you did not even ask for. You're GIVING THEM POWER when you do that, sheep.

I've given up on hope for this country. As long as our voting population continues to care more about what black man Kim Kardashian is banging than new legislation that threatens their freedoms, we will continue to head straight for the shitter.
The good news here is that the faster America heads down the shitter, the sooner we anarchists will get our chance. Obomba has been the biggest help to the cause of anarchy in american history for this reason.

Why should I trust you when you had an epic fail? (Ron Paul will win still!)

Oh because my Paul cheerleading was equivalent to Nixon's wrongdoings somehow? Go suck a turd.

Does a free society send government hit men to eliminate anyone they perceive to be an enemy of the state?

No, a free society allows privately employed hitmen to eliminate anyone their employer perceives to be an enemy.

Does a free society have hundreds of police agencies, each with the authority to deprive a man of his life, liberty and property in their sole discretion?

No, a free society has thousands of private security firms, each with no accountability to anyone besides their employer.

Does a free society have hundreds of thousands of laws, codes, rules, regulations, and policies which effectively criminalize nearly every aspect of one's existence?

Yes, each man in a free society sets his own laws for his own best interests. "No trespassing on my property or you will be shot". That's a law with a threat of violence.

Does a free society lead the world in prison population?

Who knows.

Does a free society hunt down criminals and terrorists by treating its citizens like criminals and terrorists?

Most governments don't, mine certainly doesn't.

Does a free society tell its citizens what foods they are / are not allowed to consume?

Government has imposed laws on packaging such as nutritional content and ingredients so you're able to make your own choices based on good information. What foods has the US government forced you to stop consuming? none I bet.

Does a free society steal your money at gunpoint to buy bombs that they drop by remote control on brown people in faraway lands?

Your government does, mine doesn't.

Does a free society debase its currency and plunder the purchasing power of its citizens?

Your purchasing power is stunning, a used Lamborghini for what, $80k? what are you complaining about? $200k here. You don't realise how good you have it, ungrateful swine.

Does a free society saddle unborn generations with obligations they never signed up to bear?

Some kids didn't sign up for crackhead parents. That's life.

Does a free society award near total control of the economy, the money supply, and everything tied to it, to a tiny elite few?

Yes, capitalism allows an elite few to rise to the top. Got a problem with that? They will eventually and inevitably get themselves to a position of control. Are you suggesting money should be more fairly distributed? socialist.

Does a free society brainwash its citizens into believing that they live in a free society? (at least the Chinese know they're not free...)

It is impossible to have complete and total freedom. People accept a number of limitations for the good of society. In a completely free society I could go out with no pants on and an erection, but it might make a lot of people uncomfortable.
