Both for the win!

Because i think its ok to fuck and marry whomever you want.

Conservatives don't care who you have sex with. As for gay marriage, what's the difference between that and a civil union with equal legal benefits? I don't really care either way, but who gives a fuck if the benefits are the same?

I think women should be in charge of their own bodies, and the government has no place in the bedroom OR doctor's office.

Conservatives think women and men should be in charge of their own bodies too. But they don't think women should be in charge of their babies bodies. It's not their right. Liberals want to take away a baby's right to self-determination and give it to somebody else who can abuse that right.

And not only can the mother abuse that right, but they have an incentive(less financial burdens, more freedom) to abuse it. What could be more totalitarian than that? Conservatives are for more freedom here, if you really think about it.

You know what I'm about to ask here right?
Shouldn't leave the front door open if you don't want strangers in your house.

Go ahead and look it up yourself . . .it's all over the internet, any one of the points I addressed has hundreds of documents relating to it.

I have nothing to prove to you, you've already made up your mind. So have I.

Continuing the dialog of "mine is better than yours" is going to get the country nowhere.

I just think it is very funny how one side thinks we have it so much worse in the last year and it's all the sitting president's fault that we got here.

And then the same people go on to defend one of the stupidest choices ever to be on a ticket. McCain's office even admitted it and that she was a last minute choice, not like she was folksy and brilliant and had all this common sense.

Meanwhile, while Rome is burning, we all sit around pointing at the other group.

Here's my feelings on Palin. I like her. I think she is the 'sleeper' who the libs never saw coming and that's why they hate her.

...

Call Sarah stupid, idiotic, or anything else demeaning. The more you do, the stronger and more popular she will become despite the fact she has no elite Ivy League education or royal bloodline, no dad/mom/brother who is a career Senator who feels entitled to their lofty royal position or any big wig corporate names with lots of money to buy her. Regular every day Americans adore her and if you think they're all sheeple, and most of them are, then your assertion of her stupidity could bode very well for 'mom and pop middle America'.

Last I checked, Joe the Plumber's single vote is just as powerful as one cast by George Soros and that scares the hell out of all of 'them'.

As a belligerent democrat, I will lay out exactly why Sarah Palin is so infuriating...

There is a part of country that thinks blindly cutting taxes and installing a country bumpkin that's doesn't know her ass from a hole in the ground absolutely a sensible solution to all of the country's problems.

The world is a complicated place. Everything has tradeoffs, but Palin supporters seem to have simple worldviews where everything is black and white, the choices are easy, etc.

It's as if you walked onto a plane and 10% of the passengers decided that they don't want one of those fancy elitist professional pilots, the want the guy in seat 13B to fly the plane. It's insanity.

The biggest frustration for me is Conservative politicians' shameless ability to just make shit up, or at least be willfully ignorant and get their message out through the media, who spends no time debunking the horseshit. Sarah Palin's "deathpanels" is a great example. Newsflash guys, people are sitting around in conference rooms at UnitedHealthCare doing this now. For whatever reason democrats seem to be too grounded by reality to be as over the top and shameless as the republicans and that's why we need a 60 seat majority in the senate to still get nothing done.

Your mention of Joe the Plumber is an awesome example of our culture promoting the dumbest people possible... a guy made famous by Republicans for knowing ab-so-fuckin-lutely nothing about his taxes:

The Washington Monthly

Did anyone ever see the movie Idiocracy? The loudest 10% is taking us there quicker than I would like...

The Healthcare debacle is even more evil since tons of money will be wasted and people will die as a result of it's failure. Where are the Republicans on this? Nowhere. Their only idea is Tort Reform, right? $5 Billion a year in savings according the the CBO. The country spent $2.2 Trillion on healthcare in 2007 and it increases every year. A .22% savings! Good work guys! Why are democrats not screaming about this bullshit from the tops of buildings and showing the math like I just did? God only knows.

I'm voting for the team of Rahm Emanuel and a Taser for president in 2012. Time to fuck some retards up.

If we pass this bill, unemployment will not exceed 8.5%.

...I will turn the page on ugly partisanship in Washington.

...Establish transparency by posting bills online before they are voted upon.

...Invited CSPAN in to put health care negotiations on cable.

...End income tax for seniors making under 25k.

...End no-bid government contracts.

...Reduce earmarks to 1994 levels.

...Keep lobbyists out of the administration.

Sounds like making shit up and the MSM not debunking is pretty bipartisan. Nice fucking rose colored glasses though.

Here's a news flash: Dems are just as much big business, deal-cutting assholes as the GOP are. The difference is that they veil it in "the environment" or "universal health care" or "giving people a chance." If you have any faith in the democratic leadership, you're a fucking moron.

GOP Offers 230-Page Health Care Proposal - CBS News

There's a Republican health care proposal. It may likely be a piece of shit. Most of them have been, but I can tell you there have been dozens. Some big, some small. But the GOP has not done "nothing" as the Chris Matthews sound bytes you are quoting state. I'm sure they many of them are shitty. Most of theirs are, as are the two currently waiting for reconciliation.

The reason democrats can't get anything done is that they TRY TO DO IT THEMFUCKING SELVES AND CONTINUALLY DISREGARD EVERYONE ELSE.

Look at Clinton - leaving office with balancing the budget, under a GOP controlled congress. That's the way you get shit done. Together. Not by creating a hyperpartisan environment and blaming it on the other side. (Not advocating for Clinton, mind you - I think the repeal of GS was a huge clusterfuck.)

At least GOP lies are somewhat believable. The BO admin taking credit for Iraq..LOL...who the fuck is going to believe that shit. It just goes to show how out of touch and sheltered these egg heads are. Who the hell is running the show up in there?!?!

Here's my feelings on Palin. I like her. I think she is the 'sleeper' who the libs never saw coming and that's why they hate her. Their momma, Hillary was their NOW/women's rights champion and now middle America has replaced her with Palin. The libs thought they owned the patent on breaking the glass ceiling and now they feel like the rug has been pulled out from under them and it pisses them off.

Call her stupid all you want (after all, that's what all the organ-grinder monkeys on MSNBC told you she was) but she knows how to get under the skin of her enemies in a way that literally has them running all over each other for a piece of her.

I believe her to be 100% genuine when she expresses her care and desire to make this country great so I could care less if she trips over a few issues (a la Joe Biden) once in a while because I know she wouldn't go it alone.

Obama on the other hand has been quoted as saying "five days from now we will fundamentally change America" and his actions in the last year have proven just that. The Constitution has been crafted for the very purpose of keeping nut cases like Obama from doing what he is attempting to do with his massive, nearly overnight power grab. He is a smug elitist (Which you continuously point out regarding his Harvard education) who cares only about his radical socialist ideology and will step on anyone to slam it through.

I trust Sarah Palin to make decisions that have America's best interests in mind which is a polar opposite of what Obama is trying to do. I know millions of people feel that same way.

Palin doesn't necessarily have to run for President to empower America. I see her as a catalyst for bringing together a fragmented Republican party which could hopefully clean out all the crap and help them get back to their Reagan conservative ways. In the past the Democrats were successful in framing the Republicans as a party full of angry old white guys. With Marco Rubio, Michelle Bachman, Bobby Jindal, Palin and a handful of others it's actually starting to look like it's the other way around.

Call Sarah stupid, idiotic, or anything else demeaning. I thought McCain made a poor decision when he chose her if he actually wanted to win (McCain was a poor choice in the 1st place) and I really didn't like her at the time... but the more I listen to her ideas, the more I actually like her.

Specifically, I thought this was incredibly accurate:

Sarah Palin: The Credibility Gap | Facebook

Granted, I'm not religious so whenever anyone (Pawlenty, Palin...etc) attempts to tie religion to Government I'm immediately turned off and I definitely wouldn't categorize myself as a "Palin fan" as I don't think she's quite presidential, but the policies that she advocates (smaller gov't, lower taxes, less regulation, less spending...etc) are exactly what this country needs.

I want a intelligent President as well. One that looks at history and makes steps not to follow down the same paths. One that is savy with foreign leaders and demands respect. A President that places our country above himself and his party...Unfortunately BO is not this man.

but the policies that she advocates (smaller gov't, lower taxes, less regulation, less spending...etc) are exactly what this country needs.

She's being a typical politician and saying what a lot of people want to hear. In reality, she praised McCain for leaving the campaign trail to go sign the first bailout, and then there is her Alaska record.

"One of her signature accomplishments as governor was a $1.5 billion tax increase on oil production, infuriating oil companies, according to The New York Times. She accused oil companies of bribing legislators to keep taxes low and, soon after, passed a $1,200 “energy rebate” to each Alaskan from the state’s budget surplus."

I read that article and I think it's fair - they give her credit in other areas. I don't know enough to comment about that oil tax or what was behind it, and like I said I'm definitely not her biggest supporter... But even as it stands I'd say her record is a lot more appealing than the radical, left-wing, big government socialist we have in office.

And I have a feeling a lot of people agree with me and that come November, when the tide comes in, a lot of people in Washington are going to be caught with their pants down.

I thought McCain made a poor decision when he chose her hife actually wanted to win (McCain was a poor choice in the 1st place)

Actually she was the best he could do since he was a total friggin dud. The Republicans got screwed by liberal states who allow anyone to vote in their primaries even if they are registered Democrats. The liberals got McCain in there and the Republican base was not thrilled about it. Palin got more of the base to actually turn out than any other running mate could have. But it didn't matter because the fact is, McCain could have picked Jesus Christ and still lost with the state of the economy the way it was after 8 years of Bush (even though he doesn't take all the blame). No way a Republican could have won. The people would have picked this total ametuer that we have now over any Republican. No matter what.

But honestly, as much as I like Palin, I don't think she's presidential material and really hope she's not the candidate next time around.
