My EPN account is closed! WTF???

He has enough posts that I hesitated to do a perma ban. If he fucks up again, he's gone. He's lucky I'm a jolly drunk.

I know, that's exactly what they will do. I only hesitate because if I reopen another account, I'm afraid they'll freeze it because the system will red flag it or something...you know closing and reopening new accounts...? I've decided to give them the 48hours so by mid afternoon, if I still haven't heard anything I'll open the new account.

BTW I tried the live help thing and they were complete retards. They just kept forwarding me the epn feedback/email link and told me there was nothing else that could be done. I find it hard to believe that a company as big ebay only has one method of communication and no way to escalate the situation. Plus I'm probably competing with all the emails (a flood of them I'm sure) that are questioning the new ACRU change that went into effect on Friday.

Account still closed. I've been getting about one response a day from them all canned responses. Last one was:

account.

Unfortunately our Network Quality team is very busy these days, and we
apologize for the delay in responding on behalf of them. I hope your
case will be resolved as soon as possible.

This could take a few more days, weeks or months. who knows? I've been contemplating opening up an account in my husbands name but didnt want to cause any red flags or confusion on their part (which seems easy to do).

What would you guys do?

Turbo I didnt see this mentioned anywhere but maybe you should go with PepperJam either for good or until you get it resolved.

"I hope your case will be resolved as soon as possible?!?!?!" That has got to be one of the worst customer service emails I have ever seen. Using "I" is bad enough, and "hope" should never be in there unless it's "I hope you'll reconsider and become a client again soon."

Thought I would provide an update as I know a few others have been having problems.

I got a final response today:


Dear Lauren,
Thank you for contacting us. We have opened a bug request for our development team to further investigate. In the meantime, you can re-register on the eBay Partner Network with the same email address.

I emailed back and asked them if doing this would open the same account. Their response:





Dear Lauren,
Unfortunately, the account closure is final, and you will need to set up your campaigns again.


Brilliant. So I would say don't even bother waiting for a response if you account has been closed. Just open a new one.
 
That's the thanks you get for reporting a bug. They waste your time and in the end don't help you.

EPN is by far the worst network I've ever worked with.

Not only is their team lacking in the basics of the IM game, they also seem to have a fetish for randomly closing people's accounts... Not that that happened here, sounds like a bug with firefox possibly.

Regardless, I would advise you attempt to switch over to pepperjam.

Yea I know all the reasoning behind staying with EPN, but EPN really is crazy. I don't know if you're aware, but EPN recently had a episode of closing people's accounts for no real reason, add that onto how quick they are to ban and completely forfeit all your money for the TINIEST detection of blackhat or 'low quality'(as they call it), and you're just asking to get burnt.

What would being with PJN offer compared to EPN? Why do you think affiliates under PJN would be immune? Read the TOS. It clearly says that affiliates with sub-affiliates/agents (read:PJN) must provide information on their subaffs/agents and take action to remove them if EPN says so.

yea, but epn handed over the monitoring to pepperjam, so TOS or not, the reality is, EPN employees are monitoring EPN accounts, not pepperjam accounts.

No wonder there are so many clueless affiliates doing the rounds lately. They come to forums and read crap like what you posted thinking you actually know what your talking about.
