Yeah havok, I know you just tested, so no bash on you. (Glad you didn't test it with MaxBounty though!

) Like I said before, the idea does have merit when implemented as I suggested. I think your idea is pretty clever actually. Unfortunately some networks are more unscrupulous than others, so if someone wants to persist with the naughty version, they might eventually find a taker.
MaxBounty, why isn't adult traffic allowed on your free condom and free men's magazine offers?
A few reasons Wiy.
- Porn surfers are people looking pretty much solely for porn, so even if some merchants would consider testing it, no doubt the quality of the leads would be extremely low.
- An affiliate website is typically reviewed by a network to allow access to all their ads. While a handful of merchants might consider allowing adult traffic if they had the option, the vast majority would not, and there's no easy way to allow an affiiate account access to only those few which would allow it. For every affiliate who puts the permitted ads on the allowed merchants, you'll get one making a mistake... and it's a pretty big mistake to make.
- Porn is pretty varied. That merchant who might consider porn could be thinking soft porn... and not the extremely hardcore or deviant stuff. Who's to review this stuff and how do you determine what's acceptable in between.
- Mostly though, virtually no merchant wants to be associated with porn. They spend time building up a strong brand, and even accidentally getting on a porn site would hurt that brand. Allowing it into the network would probably risk the relationship with many affiliates and merchants who feel strongly against it.
