At this point; I would throw my partison ways to the side for someone that would serve the interest of our country and it's citizens.

Obama is NOT that person. Clinton would give me less worries Obama. I just can't imagine having Obama,Reid and Polesi running our country.

Anyone that does not worry about that trio either has so much money that they don't have to worry about it or so little that they don't have to worry about it.

Usually the guy that is almost breaking into tears and crying over hurt feelings is the "weak one."

Only in Neocon dreams, my friends.

Obama is certainly a left liberal in the modern sense of the term. The problem is so is McCain. Anyone who thinks McCain has any conservative bonafides is a little touched. There is a reason that many prominent conservatives are actually suppporting Obama. It has less to do with Obama's positives than the current state of the GOP and McCain's negatives. McCain is a National Greatness Socialist flip-flopper and the GOP is now the socialist party of big government. Your choice is Socialist Party A or Socialist Party B.

I reluctantly support Bob Barr, and hope Obama wins.

All of uhhhhhhhh Barack uhhhhhhhh Obama's "uhhhhhhhh"s got annoying so I uhhhhhhhhh turned it uhhhhhhh off about uhhhhhhhh halfway uhhhh through.

Dead Fucking On!!!

McCain went on the Ayers Attack.

Bill Ayers was a hippie and anti-government in the 60's. Which could describe every baby boomer who tuned in, turned on, and dropped out. Except he didn't talk about fucking shit up!

Ayers has himself said the bomb didn't destroy enough shit, and he wishes he'd have done more. The only reason he got off was because of illegal wiretaps. He is a terrorist. Period.

I'm just sick of people saying Ayers said he didn't blow up enough shit... I've heard that shit like 20 times today. I don't give two shits about the guy, but fuck people, read a book or something... Actual quote from interview:

"The one thing I don't regret is opposing the war in Vietnam with every ounce of my being.... When I say, 'We didn't do enough,' a lot of people rush to think, 'That must mean, "We didn't bomb enough shit."' But that's not the point at all. It's not a tactical statement, it's an obvious political and ethical statement. In this context, 'we' means 'everyone.'"

The point is: Why does Obama have so many questionable ties?

I really don't give a fuck about some burnt out hippie bomber that longs for 1968. It worries me that Obama as a public figure, doesn't have the common sence or judgement to determine who he should have dealings with.

These associations are not with some minor figures. They are with bombers, slum lords and marxist bigots. There is no one on this board that can tell me if Obama was Republican, the media would be eating him alive for the same associations.

Ok, if you voted for Bush the 2nd time around, I'm pushing the big red hypocrite button on you, re bin Laden / Mahfouz, Arbusto Energy, and all them Al-Qaeda ties in between. And this was during the period that Mahfouz and a certain other bin Laden were notoriously engaged in CIA funded shenanigans setup by another G Bush.

Sorry, but no one that voted for Bush in his 2nd run gets to say dick about Ayers.

Uh...he's in the Senate, not the house, and yeah - I have trouble believing some of you are allowed to vote too.

Good catch but still his the most liberal in the house, the senate, just about the whole government system. Clap Clap, I'm amazed you caught that. Okay you can vote. Just remember to spread the wealth my brotha.

Arguing is my therapy.

You mean like if Palin's husband was up until 2002 a member of a fucking secessionist party that wanted to break alaska off of the US to join Canada?
I don't know about you, but I've barely heard shit about that. Shit, I've seen more about Hillary Clinton feeling grumpy at Obama than I have about that.
Let's close with a lovely quote from their founder(Joe Vogler) so we can see what kind of group this is.
"I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions."

Yeah. The media's been all over the GOP for their associations.
Oh, and this is also with people who were interviewed over her abuse of power allegations in Alaska specifically bringing up how much influence her husband had over her, and how he would even sometimes be in her office without her there.

Quit with the bawwwing. Repubs had a fair shot, and just haven't done good enough so far.

Edit: Almost forgot. Vogler was sponsored by Iran so he could talk at the United Nations about Alaska seceding.

Not true

We talked about this issue right here on this board day 2 after the announcement of Palin as running mate.

It's the Alaskan Independence Party ... They are saying America didn't go through the correct process to add Alaska as a state. They are basically looking for a do over in the voting.

Also, they are pretty pissed that America handcuffs them from using the natural resources in their ground. It's basically keeping the citizens from living the high life. I can't really blame them on this point. America brought them in solely because of the resources they possessed, then promptly told them they can't use them (which we really could right about now).

Also, there are likely some kooky people in the party ... much like the extremists that joined the Ron Paul movement. That doesn't make the party bad, just some individuals

More shit than you'd ever want to know about the AIP

Obama is running for president. Palins husband in not even the vice president.

Quote from Obamas pastor of over 20 years.
“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.” (2003)
Now why would you stay at that Church for over 20 years if you didnt agree with some of that.
I'll be honest I just dont want America to become a socialist nation. But thats what I see with Obama. Very simple. Dont care about the stuff above.

I'll be honest I just dont want America to become a socialist nation.

Raising taxes won't make america a socialist nation. Do you even know what a socialist country is? Can you give me an example of a socialist nation? (HINT!! no european countries qualify as socialist nations)

Socialist may be a little strong a word to use but I am not sure. Obama isn't the only politician that we must worry about if he is elected. Pelosi and Reid are just as scary if not more to me.

Our country is on the edge of failure and Pelosi is wanting to send checks in the amount of 150 billion. Most of these checks will go to people that DO NOT pay taxes.

With liberals running the whole government, there is no one to question this type of dangerous policy. All three of these politicians have stated quotes right out of the marxist handbook ( Obama recently stated that he wanted to "spread the wealth around" ). These types of statements surely doesn't make them socialist but I wound't hesitate at labeling them as socialist lite!

In this case the "kook" is the founder though. Let's snag another quote
"the fires of Hell are glaciers compared to my hate for the American Government, and I won't be buried under their damn flag; I'll be buried in Dawson and when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones back to Alaska, back to my country. " - Vogler

Face it. It's NOT a moderate party that wants Alaska reassessed.
And either way, I don't give a flyin fuck. The point is that popeye was getting all butthurt because he thought Obama would've gotten railed for his associations if he was a republican.
I was pointing out to popeye that the big bad media was not picking on the republicans, and was skimming over a lot of stuff they would've latched onto if it was obama.

No one in their right mind can say that Obama hasn't gotten a pass on his associations. I was ran under a microscope for my job in the military. They even spoke to friends that I had in Jr. High.

Obama coudn't even hold the same job I had in the military, due to the folks that he is tied too.

So what? I couldn't pass a military background check to save my ass either. That has absolutely nothing to do with what kind of person I am, my intelligence, or anything else.
And are you at least acknowledging that Palin did get a pass from the media?
Especially considering she actually gave a speech for the AIP in March 2008?
Sounds a lot like supporting a secessionist movement to me.

Truthfully, I skimmed the site since I'm not passionate about the movement and don't see myself ever visiting Alaska or engaging in their politics. I obviously missed that quote and stand corrected if that's truly the way the party leader feels ... or is that some quote from his hippie days when he was blowing buildings up?

On the surface they had views that were different from mainstream but understandable none-the-less.

Yup. I don't want to debate the pros or cons of AIK. Just like you, I'm not passionate about it and really I'm not positive I would've noticed had alaska succeeded haha.
This was just to illustrate the point that the media skips over stuff on both sides :)
