Rip me apart please!!!

PS: If you think 5 days is outrageous, I will laugh at you and laugh at you and laugh at you...

5 days, fuck, I went to school for 3 years, and we didn't learn fuck all about web design at the time as it barely existed. I then spent the next 13 years learning, and I'm still learning. You never stop learning.

That's some good advice there, especially the bits about grid design, sketching in a sketch book and the practical day to day application of design skills.

I know.. 5 days is laughable, but if you really apply yourself, I think you might be able to make a decent stab at a non-shitty website.

I intended this as a kick-start, not an end of design learning.

Fuck, I think I have an eye for design, but I am working with a designer at my job and he just never ceases to amaze me.

I mean, this guy KNOWS design, not just some cheap tricks to make a site look OK.

So yeah, no edn to the learning and nothing but respect for designers... real ones.

OK...

I really don't know why anyone (me included) is being so helpful, as you have not only displayed a blatant lack of design skills, but also a pissy attitude.

But oh, well. We seem to be all saints here.

...
emp, stop being that nice and work on your own campaigns instead ;)

My name is Ben.

First things first!

Cut out the portion of your brain that thinks cheesy 3D effects and marble backgrounds are cool.
::emp::

Not to split hairs here..but that's not marble...that's "cracked earth". HUGE difference. One is just not remotely cool, the other is completely un-cool.

Don't tell me you hadn't seen that before.

Yes, but not in years...that's why it was so damn funny.
