Roller Coaster Tycoon and Sim City (on an SNES emulator) are still really fun.

I played the snes sim city recently and built a megalopolis. Then a plane crashed and burned my entire city because I had no fire departments

Yeah - my favourite games were Rollercoaster Tycoon, Railroad Tycoon, Theme Hospital, etc.. Could play them for hours on end.
