So is Bitcoin how to flee fiat money?

BTW folks, I've got a 5K thread coming up in the nearish future... Would anyone here be interested in a serious guide to Bitcoin for a thread topic?

...I could even hand some milliBTC out.... Starter cash for all those curious. Perhaps proportionality more to those who have helped me or something like that... Sound like a good thread?

Bitcoin is going to change the world. It has already enabled a number of previously difficult-to-impossible markets.

Bitcoins and money are catalysts guerilla. It's catalysts for trade. By itself, it's valuable.

I just got $9600 seized by gaypal for 180 days. I look at moneybookers payza and everything is this same. One day for ANY reason they will want to know you.

They will ask for verification. Then they will pretend that fax got lost, or demand you send a copy through snail mail, that somehow got lost again. All government regulated transfer are like that except actual bank wire which you cannot do from the convenience of your home.

Without having looked at the setup, I don't trust BC. I don't trust things that are free with no commercial intent somewhere. I would not be surprised if there is a backdoor somewhere. How do you know they run the exact code they published?

Linux kernel? ;) Yes, I know companies contribute to it, but originally it was purely "for the good of the community", also there are still a sizable number of individual contributors who work on it just because they want a better kernel.

I suggest you look into other banks. I can wire money in about 2 minutes (including login time).

Please do!

I wired money yesterday, USA to Thailand. It took a phone call and a little more than 2 minutes, so mattseh has me beat on two counts. But I did it from the comfort of a comfy chair in my home office. So yeah, you need to look at some different banking arrangements if possible.

I can certainly beat both of you sending bitcoin... And then there are no fees at all. ;)

I'm still in the recon mode... Searching for a world worth dominating.

the potential it has is to get all participants jailed if it gets big enough for governments to worry about. dont ask me how. theyll make something up.
This will be covered in my upcoming 5k post. Stay tuned.

Bitcoin is also Fiat money, but the difference is that it's a true open market currency with fixed inflation rates. This means everyone knows the money supply years in advance, so the current financial crisis could never have happened. It also can't be taxed since it's anonymous. I don't know if Bitcoin in it's current version can attract enough mass attention, but the idea of open source anonymous currency has the potential to be a major world changer if it succeeds for the aforementioned reasons. It is currency and trade outside the control of governments.

a lot of you guys make it look like bitcoins are being used to fight back the government and the people creating their own currency for the greater good, but no it's used heavily in a lot of online drug dealing sites, and other illegal things. i don't know 1 person in my everyday life that's not involved in drugs, or creepier stuff that knows about bitcoins and thinks it's a good idea.

drug peddlers don't even use bitcoin anymore because there's better modes of online currency that are more stable and more discrete.

just commented on your "enlightened" thread. don't be mad at me that you're way behind on this. i would post pics of what bitcoins are used to buy, but you guys would probably throw up (child porn).

edit: just noticed you mentioned silkroad in an earlier post. no wonder. really shows how far behind you are

I responded to your pathetic trolling attempt over there.

Whatever your beef is with bitcoin, you are clearly an uneducated simpleton who thinks BTC has gone down in value when it has clearly gone up and received more social acceptance than ever lately. I pity you.

I have a bunch of bitcoins. They are nearly worthless. I can barely buy anything with them, and the things I can buy are difficult to buy.

Ordinary people would have an extremely difficult time getting them, and unless this is fixed (it won't be), then it will never be widely accepted.

Since it's also difficult to trace, and transactions are final, a consumer that has been scammed has no recourse. You can't charge back fraud transactions like you could with paypal or a credit card. Just another reason why it will never be widely accepted.

Yes, it's a fun novelty, but it will never be a widely accepted form of payment without serious improvements.

im not going to stoop down to your level of a 9 year old just throwing out insults. people close to me have worked with bitcoins for since they've been popular (2 years).
my offer is still up if you want to PM me, just don't act like a 9 year old when you do.
