Stop Drinking Beer Fo 2 MONTHS???

Just wait till your gastrointestinal lining gets destroyed, it becomes easier then.

Is beer your only source of alcohol?

I quit for a month recently. It was tough for a week, but overall very worthwhile - I'll probably make it a regular thing.

Your tolerance drops, you feel better, and you appreciate it more when you start again.

I haven't drank anything in like 2 months and used to drink pretty frequently, beer and liquor. Probably 2-4 times a week, sometimes more...like with any addiction (yes just because you're not a full out alcoholic doesn't mean it's not an addiction) the craving goes away after a certain period of time. For me it was probably like 2 weeks or so.

While I have never said to anyone I quit completely (open to the idea of drinking again sometimes), my brain just feels so much better at this point that drinking any alcohol would feel so unhealthy...hard to explain, but I like it.

Yeah, whenever I quit for a while the first week was rough, then I had very low cravings. And it's crazy, when I start back drinkin I get buzzed quick, bad thing is also get hangovers from a couple beers. The body gets used to not having it.

The real question is do you think you could put up with her for 2 months w/ out a little something to take the edge off? Maybe she could reward you by bring one of her GF's over to party with on day 60

New favorite summer brew is Purple Haze from Abita. Its been around for a while and most likely most have tried it. Forgot about until I had a few pints on vacation.

I know who gives a crap.

I only drink to get drunk (maybe 2 times a month), beer taste like shit, never understood how people enjoy the taste of it.

Pretty much the same here 1 or 2 times a month. Also I drink beer to get that buzz -- it goes to my head the fastest. 3 beers I'm pretty buzzed. Maybe because I never drank it when I was growing up. Like BlokBlok said; it tastes like shit.

My record is 28 days, I keep meaning to beat that record but I can't seem to last more than a week or two.

interesting you bring this up 1yerrot.

Right now, I'm on day 37 of my own personal no booze challenge. I did this a couple of years ago and got to 66. Then SXSW happened ;>

I'm not a drink 1 beer after the work day kinda guy. I wait until Saturday and then drink 12 - which is actually a conservative estimate if there's a home Dynamo game and we start in on the tailgate keg at 3PM.

I set off to do 30 days and at 30 decided to continue indefinitely. Lost some weight, getting better sleep, more energy and productivity. Feels good man.

I never drink when Im alone, but when Im around peeps it's hard to turn down a cold, frosty beer.

I don't drink period. But a friend of mine went through AA and is now sober for like 16 days. He says it feels like gitty or like you are on an energy drink all the time when you are sober. so that's how you will probably feel.

1) Don't buy it.
2) When eating out, order wine only.

It is just that you will keep looking in the fridge to see if you got one left.

Ooo, scary big tough internet guy. Even as fat and retarded as I am I would wipe the floor with you.

Best oxymoron of all time "Drink responsibly".

Get smashed and do something bad, you'll regret and hopefully it'll trigger some stimuli and you won't want to do it again for a while..
