Yes, educating is the point in these threads, you've got that much right; But I know what topics I am able to report on/talk about and which are beyond the scope of a reasonable forum conversation.
I started this thread because I was horrified by what the Thai fishing industry is up to... Even after living there I didn't have a clue. (Of course if I spoke the language well that might have helped a bit.) My reason for creating this thread was no so much to teach as to simply spread a single-event news item, like the majority of threads here.
Telling people the alternative to armed resistance is something I love to do to, 1 on 1, through secure channels, when people are no longer avid state-defenders. -Just like how it was done with me. These particular instructions are simply not understandable by people who would still want to be governed on some level.
I will say it's much larger than bitcoin. There is certainly a lot more to it than spreading a little AnCap philosophy and getting ppl around you to accept cryptocurrency, although those are in the mix too.
If you are really curious enough, start reading some Austrian economics, learn some Praxeology, and find out what the thousands of coders who were doing bitcoin years ago are up to today. You might be surprised.

I want to apologize to acidie and fatbat for my mean words above. I am ashamed of them and my lack of patience throughout the 2nd half of this thread.
More and more wickedfire has been rubbing me the wrong way lately and I took it out on you guys personally, when it was a much larger trend I'm unhappy with.
My official stance on this subject is simply that the blockchain is a transparency engine, and that will be our only hope against our 'govs gone wild' problems. I do not need to convince anyone here that it will work; you'll know within another 1-2 years max, no matter what I say now.
Again, sorry guys. I'll be around less but when I do stop by I'll be better behaved that that from here on out.
