Turn to FOX news, count the seconds until...

Try newsvine.com. At least the BS of cable news gets filtered a little.

And for those who think Fox is "news"... they were brought to court for lying to their viewers. And it wasn't one of their opinion segments, it was their straight up "news".

And their lawyers didn't even deny that they lied. They won the case by saying they have the right to lie to their viewers and still call it news.

They admit they are lying to you. So you are morons if you believe their shit.

Okay, since it's 1 degree outside and I have no life (aka working) tonight, I decided to do a "race to 10". The test was done between 11pm and 2am CST. Each time I heard one of the trigger words I marked it down and flipped to one of the other stations. Laugh if you want, but this was actually pretty fun/interesting to do. (I think my math is right).

FOX News:

0:55
1:57
3:44
0:03
0:14
0:11

- Average MSNBC Time = 2 minutes 34 seconds

this gives me an idea, I'm going to do a count on CNN for the number of seconds before they show Larry King's boney ass each time

Throw your tv in the dumpster.

Or watch Jon Stewart.

---------

Just thinking about it... of course, you'll hear terrorists or security mentioned on FOX... you should be hearing those words on all stations. For a good chunk, terrorists are the news. This would be a knock on left leaning stations, if anything. This would imply that all the left leaning stations are ignoring the actual NEWS.

Second thought, to cover/ignore/repeatedly-state a news story are all different things. Anyway, turn it ALL OFF. ;)

-------

edit: I think popeye, overall, has the record for most facepalm moments.

Crazy. With all those mentions of "terror", you'd think some muslim tried to blow a plane-load of people out of the sky on Christmas.

Fox should do like CNNMSNBCABCCBSNBC and focus on REAL issues that American's are concerned about like Global Warming.

9/11 was a fluke.

It isn't like there is a global movement of insane, religious fanatics that think their God ordered life's purpose is to kill as many Americans as humanly possible.

Pffffffttttttttt.

I remember back in the day when you could trust the news to be objective. You can't trust none of these guys anymore. FOX, CNN, or MSNBC. Not even NPR.

Fuck your republicans and fuck your democrats. Just do your job and help fix the United States.

Funny, terrorism isn't on the top of the list ^^^.

Maybe CNNMSNBCABCCBSNBC replaced mintues two and three with jobs and economy instead of...TERRORISM!!!

I don't know though; they're all useless.

What are you interested in personally? Why wait for some tv channel to deliver? TV is a thing of the past lol, for me.

i just noticed that recently, i guess thats how they get ratings. They just make up shit to scare you.

You're right. They made up the US embassy bombing in Kenya, the USS Cole, 9/11, Fort Hood, the sneaker bomber and the underwhere bomber to name just a few. All just figments of their imagination to get ratings.

Now go back to watching Rachel Maddow or Keith Olberman so they can tell you what you want to hear.

It's a lot fucking higher than "Global Warming" and unlike AGW, it actually exists.

I'm interested in things that actually affect my life. Islamic terrorism, global economics and politicians who try and run my life with their bullshit legislation.

But I don't sit around watching hours of TV listening to talking heads arguing about what I already know.

Just saw this on reddit...

Turn the channel to Fox News and count how many seconds you can go before hearing/seeing the words: terror(ist/m), fear, or security.

I've done it 4 or 5 times over the past 3 hours and the longest I've gone is 17 seconds (not counting commercials), no joke.

Just sayin'

Totally. At my parents house the week of christmas fox was on 24/7 and all they talked about was the 12/25 plane incident. Turns out there were actually other things that happened in the country and around the world too that week (can you believe it?) but you would never know it watching FOX.

That station is the biggest fucking joke of "journalism" broadcasting EVER.

I find the news reported on WF to be of greater quality than Fox - much better graphics and video. Top notch political commentary and great segments on health issues and proper medication. Let's not forget The Fucking Weather. No need to look anywhere else.

Fox does a piss poor job of actually educating its viewership.

Even compared to gov'ment run media it fails too. (cites studies here)

But no... don't trust any studies coming out of the liberal academia.

It's simple though, ask people that watch Fox questions and compare how they did to viewers/listeners of other channels. They fail. The study I'm thinking of had Fox's viewers failing at one of the critical times of recent history, around the initial "shock and awe" Iraq time period. Fox's viewers were totally man handled by FOX, they belived WMDs were in Iraq and the whole spiel that goes with it.

Fox makes us dumber and on a whole less able to make rationale decisions/votes, especially at critical times in our history when Fox's alarm bells are ringing the loudest.
