Why I live in Springfield, Missouri...

Make this street legal to get to work and I'd consider your point valid.

Somebody had a Yamaha R6 with studded tires out on a lake near here a couple weeks ago. Studded tires are not street legal though.

I spend 23 hours a day inside working. With the exception of going out to eat or seeing a movie, I don't go out. I've only left the city limits twice in the last year.

So yeah, my apartment is my life.

Important note for anyone wanting to start a hosting company: Don't.

you sleep an hour a day?

dude nice fucking place... amazing.

Grew up in Phoenix. And yeah... we used to say it's called Surprise because when you got out there it was like "SURPRISE... there's nothing here." The valley has changed a lot since I left, though.

four seasons is the best...the rest just seems so boring...same thing every day...

and every place has it's good and bad things about it...no where is perfect...

That looks like amazing fun! The problem with studded tires are that they are basically do-it-yourself. If I could just go buy a set of manufactured 190/120 and stick them on I'd happily pay $600 or more to have some fun in the winter.

God fucking damn it I need to get out of the UK... $1600 a month on the outskirts of London and I have a place that's less than half the size.

Anyone who doesn't live in San Diego just can't afford it and is in denial. :)

Deep down, no one really WANTS to live in Missouri or Minnesota no matter how much you try to convince yourself of it lol

OK I'm half kidding ...

I lived in Oceanside for a while and have been to San Diego a million times. I hate them both with a passion.

Oversell the shit out of those nodes, play a little poker and Carlton Sheet the piss out of that town.

I know hating on the "flyover states" is the cool thing to do. But, Missouri is nice. Very low cost of living, you get all 4 seasons, and fall is beautiful.

The fact that the cost of living is so low means that you and your feelings about Missouri are in the small minority ... but props to you if you can be happy there. :)

What exactly did you hate about San Diego?

The Ozarks are my favorite part of the country. I love Springfield and used to go there when I got tired of Fayetteville and Eureka Springs. Springfield always had enough to do w/out being overwhelming--maybe it just feels that way to me b/c I've lived in small towns 75% of my life. Missouri Ozarks do kick ass though.

The beaches all sucked and it was a chore to find one that was clean with few people. No trees. Parking sucks. People drive like they are in a fucking nascar race. Rudest people I've ever met. Crime, crime, crime.

Don't get me started on Oceanside or LA.
