And the omnipresent, omnipotent christian god stood by and watched it happen. But he works in mysterious ways, so you had best shut the fuck up.

Watched the video.

Universal slogan to teach kids should just be, "Be religious, get burned."

To be honest, I have a hard time having sympathy for folks like this. Middle of a civil war, killing and Islamic fundamentalists all around, and this Catholic priest decides it's a good idea to go stroll around in Syria.

It's the same as if I went meandering through the jungles of Somalia, then acted all shocked and surprised when I ended up kidnapped.

The invisible sky ghost has his back in heaven now.. Not to be insensitive (or maybe), but seriously, can we get past this fucking shit yet?

2.5 million Christians in Syria

Christianity in Syria - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Christians (as well as the few remaining Jews in the country) engage in every aspect of Syrian life. Following in the traditions of Paul, who practiced his preaching and ministry in the marketplace, Syrian Christians are participants in the economy, the academic, scientific, engineering, arts, and intellectual life, the entertainment scene, and the political arena of Syria. Many Syrian Christians are public sector and private sector managers and directors, while some are local administrators, members of Parliament, and ministers in the government. A number of Syrian Christians are also officers in the armed forces of Syria. They have preferred to mix in with Muslims rather than form all-Christian units and brigades, and fought alongside their Muslim compatriots against Israeli forces in the various Arab-Israeli conflicts of the 20th century. In addition to their daily work, Syrian Christians also participate in volunteer activities in the less developed areas of Syria. As a result, Syrian Christians are generally viewed by other Syrians as an asset to the larger community.

If innocent Christians being murdered disproved the existence of God, I suppose that already happened back when a guy named Jesus was crucified. Because it's not like the history of Christianity isn't littered with examples of martyrs dying for their faith.

I've heard the Americans say that Jesus has a plan for all. So, its technically Jesus' fault right? Either that, or the American way to reassure themselves that God exists, is more fucked than Sasha Grey's privates.

Wasn't Jesus jewish?

I find it ironic that people get so annoyed when Muslims murder people but find it perfectly acceptable when another murderous group of sociopaths do it from 30,000 feet in the air using a stealth bomber.

Judaism begat Christianity begat Islam.

And all three have begat 2,000 years of pointless bullshit and bloodshed.

Personally I put my faith in the flying spaghetti monster. No war, murder or religious persecution has ever been committed in his name.

I support admit that every muslim should not be blamed for the deeds of some...
That is not how it goes and should go.. every one should be judged from the work and not the cast.

You are kind of misrepresenting what happened.

Syria until very recently has been a secular country with over 10% of Syrian's being Christians. The Catholic priest was FROM Syria worshipping in a Catholic Church MONASTERY that had been there for a long time.

According to the above statement - whenever Muslims come around Christians should high tail it?
