You like Muslims? Guess what happens when the cult's population grows?

lol yea something like that

No, I've seen some good posts from you, but I can't believe you cited that link to help whatever point you were trying to make. A poll on who Europeans think is a 'threat' to world stability? Really? That's somehow supposed to prove Christian terrorism is a threat?

You can imply things without saying them....

Yes, but then you'd be wrong. Because I'm telling you that's not what I think. I'm telling you it, and it still doesn't change my initial argument. And I explain why.

Hence, the implications just being wrong.

Both you and Andrew have completely neglected what this argument has been about all along. I stated my case opposing yours, and you returned by completely changing the subject. I don't know what I'm supposed to do at that point...

Your response to my valid statement was one of sarcasm...yeah that's a fail as far as I'm concerned.

You don't want to look at Christianity's violent past. (and somehow think that it didn't have any impact to the world we live in today)

Whatever.

(just assume this post totally validates everything you've said)

So just because America is mostly Christian...means that we go to war and kill innocents in the name of God? It's a religious war waged by proclaimed Christian warriors?

Again...really?

No.

I have a healthy fear of powerful christian right-wingers and political groups like AIPAC which have a lot of say in what this country does.

Who here would like to go to war with Iran?

An argument must be flawed...when it implies false things.

But you don't think these things, that's fine...neither do I.

What impacts is it having on me? Since you stand by this philosophy, you must have reasoning to back it up.

I don't care about looking back at it. There were the Crusades, which are long over and have been apologized about. Does apologizing change anything or justify it? No. But it at least shows that Christians did admit that it was wrong, and nothing like that has happened since. Once again this doesn't justify it, it was wrong and nobody should be killed solely in the name of God.

Who knows....you may be Christian because of the Crusades... who knows?

Are you saying things that happened in the past don't affect us now? No, you aren't (well you are)...but I know you don't think this... so you don't have to respond.

The Crusades were defensive wars, in response to several hundred years of Islamic Jihad. The Crusades united Europe and if it wasn't for them Europe would have been Islamised long ago and what we know as Western civilization would never have arose, seeing as Islam retards intellectual development and destroys any tendencies towards rationalism and reason.

This is the point were people generally bring up the golden age of Islam in Al-Andalus and how Muslims carried civilization through Europe's dark ages, by maintaining their libraries of texts from Greek and Roman times until the period of Enlightenment. To which I'll pre-emptively say - bollocks.

Equating islam with Christianity shows extreme ignorance. I even wonder how people that do this even go about thier daily life without the supervision of an adult.

They're both false and silly. Equated. Done.

Believing in either Islam or Christianity shows extreme ignorance.

They've been programmed to respond that way; it's the same thing whenever you criticize Democrats.

They only know how to respond one way. "Oh really? Well, the (Repubs/Christians) are just as bad!!!

It becomes kind of sad and pathetic after a while. They don't even know how to have normal conversations.

But this is the Islam-bashing thread, not the Christianity-bashing thread.

I like how Churchill explained it:

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries!
Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia
in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many
countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods
of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet
rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the
next of its dignity and sanctity.

The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as
his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must
delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased
to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid
qualities - but the influence of the religion paralyses the social
development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists
in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and
proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa,
raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity
is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it
had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell
the civilization of ancient Rome."

-Sir Winston Churchill

I guess I am saying they are just as bad... insofar as they are both FALSE. (Islam and Christianity)

They're false man, sorry.

I can't prove to you that they're false (they lack falsifiability)...but that's by design...

You can't prove to me you're right either (about Christianity)...(hence, why should anyone believe at all then?)

could you be a bigger bag of fail?

Nope, I'll stand by that comment until the day I die. You must be Christian, no?
