Your VPN doesn't work

crazy, it worked on my normal PC on Chrome and Firefox with a regular HTTP proxy AND PrivateInternetAccess VPN! Didn't work on a VMWare instance VPN though, so it's not how Google were banning my Android account

It's a windows Web RTC problem. Your vpn will have the fix.

Ran a test on an openvpn setup and it doesn't leak the local public IP, but it leaks both local private IPs, the lan one from the router, and the one from the VPN connection.. interesting no doubt...

Just tried with NetShade and the VPN is secure but it sees though the proxies.

If you are using any extensions like scriptsafe or noscript you are safe.

Not much VPN providers can do because this involves direct communication between your browser and the STUN servers. YOU need to protect yourself by disabling webRTC within your browsers.

Also make sure you have "allow in incognito mode" enabled on script blocking extensions. Otherwise you will be vulnerable while using private browsing.

Yeah what dmn said, this is a windows flaw, if you're running Linux or OSX this issue doesn't apply.

interdasting. is this Nordvpn better than privateinternetaccess? (speed, practicality etc)

*shrug* I don't know, I don't have any issues with NordVPN. I'm on a shitty internet connection, and while using them, I can still do things like view Youtube vids without any interruptions or buffering. Works more than good enough for me.

The reason I like them is due to the static IPs, so I can add them into the SSH IP restrictions of servers I need access to. This way, I can travel around, without accidentally locking myself out of servers.

Those extensions have been patched and don't fix it anymore.

Pale Moon fixes it however.

What does that mean? Why would they patch it so it still leaks? Noscript blocks javascript, the leak is directly from javascript, so not really sure that statement makes much sense. With that said I could be way wrong. Do have a link?

If those extensions are working for you that's fine (are they?). They didn't for me because the above linked github was patched.

But those extensions also fuck up your browsing experience on most every other website.

No IP leaks here with the vanilla version of Pale Moon.

I'm on the road and have yet to do any testing on my windows box. I'm asking because it's counter intuitive to what I've read. I will surely dig into this some more and report back.

And +1 for pale moon. Been running for about a year part time. I think it's time to cut ties with chrome. I'm also curious to know why palemoon isn't affected by this.

So basically Google can still know our real IP address in spite of running something like ZenVPN or whatever?

Am I interpreting the information correctly?
