Buy a juicer

Which juicer did you go with?

Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor. One of the nicer low end juicers. I'm pretty happy with it but then again, this is my first time juicing so I don't have anything to compare it to.

btw, I haven't had anything bother me digestive wise. I juice onions, cabbage and all sorts of veggies that can typically cause some issues. Try juicing on an empty stomach next time and drinking it fast. This way it should skip most of your digestive tract and be absorbed directly into your bloodstream like any other liquid form.

Any one claiming they feel better or have more energy by using a juicer is merely feeling the placebo effect. You can get more vitamins and minerals that your body needs by taking a good multivitamin.

Take blood tests before/after going on a regular "healthy" diet with a multivitamin for a month then take blood tests before/after a juice fast. Juice fasting is PROVEN to cut your cholesterol and bloog sugar in half in 30 days or less.

GF bought me a Kenwood JE680 centrigugal juicer and I'm loving it. The drinks are like whole meals and taste fantastic.

I had a carton of supermarket juice in the fridge and I tasted it after a juicer drink and god it tasted awful.

Aim is to 100% replace the sugary crap I eat (biscuits, cakes etc) with juicer drinks.

I am copying this entire thread.
Creating a juicer site.
Sticking every flippin comment on this thread as a testimonial to my product and
voi~la bitches.

You juice the veggies I will juice da wallets dry you B's.

Oh on a more serious note, I am jealous and have been wanting one for years.. I am just going to splurge (no dwight, I did not say that other word) for a nice one.

I purchased the Omega juicer and did a detox for 30 days. I lost 26 pounds in the 30 days. I recommend the documentary- Fat, sick and nearly dead. What an inspiration!

I get most of my protein/fat from red meat, potatoes/rice/oats and my blood tests have always turned out phenomenal.

All power to you juicers, but you are missing out the best part of a vegetable which is the insoluble fiber. By juicing, you are getting a lot of water, fructose and megadoses of Vitamins A and C typically.

Eating a well balanced diet and regular exercise will save you $200 or whatever you pay for juicers these days and a lot of hassle fucking around with a refrigerator full of fruits and veggies.

Got back into it last night :) How many of you stopped? Let's get back into it bros

Bought the juicer, found out that juiced veggies taste worse than unjuiced veggies. Since there's only about 3 vegetables I like, it got really really old, really really fast. Didn't last 24 hours.

Do like the fruit juices. Don't like the mess.

Juicer is here in the house somewhere... not sure where.

Did you try any of the tricks to make it taste better? Like adding a shitload of lemons? It's not going to taste like cake, but the lemons definitely cut the need to gag out of the equation.

Are you John Pinette? Because if not, I'm honestly picturing someone of the same body type making that post.

Get the fuck over your taste aversion bro, it's all in your head and it's going to kill you. Try to think of it that way. Also props to you for even trying it though, that's the biggest step. Also yeah Turbolapps post ^, definitely necessary.

I'm a big guy. 5'8", 394 lbs. Similar body type to John Pinette.

Juicing was a little too extreme for me. It was like throwing a toddler behind the wheel of a Corvette. I'm trying to learn to how to eat right first. Portion control, etc. Trying to jump straight into juicing was a big mistake.

Starting with light exercise and portion control is I think a much smarter approach for someone with my limited dieting experience and picky tastes.

True story.

I lost 70 lbs in 6 months after visualizing myself very vividly as a fat rat. The disgust from the visualization gave me the power, the very next day, without any hiccups, to eat consciously; which meant eating the right foods and the right amounts.

Disclaimer: The visualization experience occurred under a mild dose of mushrooms.

Go the blending route. Way easier to work with. Just throw your veggies and fruits into the blender, blend, and drink!

The best part IMO of blending is you can't over due it. No need to worry about portion control. With the fiber, you will become naturally full and cravings for larger meals goes down.

Fair enough, it's definitely a lot at once and you'll wind up starving and relapse really quickly. Takes time. I agree about portion control and light exercise.

Do you have a treadmill desk? I can burn 1,000 extra calories a day on one going at 1-2mph and that's a short work day.

Srs about the mushrooms? I had a similar experience with acid.

I agree with this but the problem with blending is it's a bit harder to cover tastes and it can easily have a gross texture that many people find even worse than the bad taste. Blending is all I do now, so much easier, so much more fiber and I can toss other shit in the mix like maca root powder, flax seed and cashews - keeps you feeling full much better than juicing also.

How much time do you guys spend cleaning your juicer? Isn't it messy as fuck? I only know that like 15 yrs ago you spent 20 minutes cleaning every single part of that goddamn machine.

It takes time. But not that much time. The key is to spray the shit out of every washable part immediately with scalding hot water. That gets everything out without scrubbing. The only thing you have to sort of scrub is the actual grinder and you learn how to do it in a way that takes maybe 2 minutes.

So: When I'm doing a fast I spend maybe 5 minutes rinsing it all out and scrubbing and then laying on the towel to dry until the next juice a few hours later. I do this about 4 times a day and then put all of the washable parts in the dishwasher after the last juice of the day.

Reason #381 I switched to blending. I use a Nutribullet, I literally spend 5 seconds cleaning it - just requires you rinse out the cup. When I had a juicer it was like 10 minutes of prepping (washing/cutting veggies/fruit) and then 5-10 minutes of clean up. With blending you just toss shit in and rinse out the cup when you're done, makes it way more practical.

Fuckkk that.
