Climate change? do you believe it?

Why wouldn't the government force vaccinations? With everyone collectively responsible for everyone else's healthcare now, and the public health threat posed by non-vaccinated people, would you really be surprised if the government forced the issue? Public schools require them, not like it would be much of a stretch to be honest.

Lots of employers already do this.

I'm not anti-vaccine, but you make this shit sound far fetched for some reason.

It is far fetched and absolutely impossible to happen. How would they possibly enforce this and on what grounds? Obama Care is not socialized healthcare its just another insurance provider. You just sign up and pay them as you would any other insurance provider. You don't want it don't sign up. The only people forced to sign up are people with no insurance or super shit insurance and its given to them for next to nothing or free because its subsidized and they are poor.

So somehow the government is going to spread the enforcement to every private insurance company in the US, to every doctor, and every hospital and clinic. And all of this time and money is going to be spent to just put random chemicals into your body or stop you from getting the flu depending on how you see it. Years of planning and hundreds of millions or billions of dollars just to enforce vaccines? Unless some zombie apocalypse shit happens then yes its absolutely impossible and far fetched. Even when we eradicated Polio it was voluntary.

We have way too many other things to worry about and money to spend elsewhere than to care about these anti-vac tards. I would say the government has better things to do. NASA wants to go to Mars, shit in Ukraine may start World War III, our electric grid is shit, our infrastructure is falling apart, client change may put New York /DC 3ft underwater in the next 20 years, and people really they the government wants to waste time and money making sure you have a flu shot?

Also public schools do not absolutely require them. You just need to fill out a form saying its against your religion or that you are an anti-vac tard and give them the paper work. This paper work is for legal reasons, so when your kid gets smallpox at school they are not responsible. Of course they highly recommend it and almost force the issue but thats because its in the best interest of everyone that you do get them. If everyone said no the whole system would fall apart. Just like blood donations or organ donations work. If everyone says no then we are all fucked.

The reason they will never have to physically enforce it is because enough of the population is smart enough to save the others from their stupidity.

Let's do a thought experiment. Think of all of the revelations that have come out in the last couple of years about things the government is doing, and ask yourself how many of them were considered far fetched just a few years ago.

Don't put anything past them.

Fucking forecasters in SD missed the expected high temp by NINE DEGREES (99 when they said 90) today in the middle of a fiery state emergency. Last year they would daily predict the ending of a heat wave for seven days straight before the heat wave finally ended. My neighbor is saying a lot of the fruit trees around are blooming at the wrong time.

Weather seems to be confusing even the experts nowadays..

The sun might not be real either because last night it got dark

Maybe I'm high but doesn't this totally sound like some clue a random character in an RPG would give you?

I don't play video games, I wouldn't know lolz. Have never even played Dungeons and Dragons.

What I do know is that the dumbshits underestimated the high temp by ten degrees again today, and it's only 11am.

I just hope it's isn't HAARP or chemtrails fucking everything up.

Whoa whoa whoa, there is a big difference between your average normal dude playing Final Fantasy a couple times in his life and then the type of super nerd it takes to play Dungeons and Dragons.

I don't think there's any doubt that it has changed, the debate is whether it would have changed anyway through natural cycles or whether mankind had done enough damage to change it.

My opinion is that man has changed it slightly but not to the full extent of the changes we are witnessing.

But what do I know.

I think you've got to be completely insane to think we have no impact on the quality of life on earth. The main issue is that this is a great opportunity to those that would use it to tax the shit out of you more and more. One day people are going to realize that when 50-80% of your income is taken from you at penalty of jailtime, that we're all slaves. Think about what happens to that money, and if you don't know, do some reading.

BTW, is anyone doing Nigeria propaganda?

It's rational to not care about climate change because no one is going to live long enough to feel the full effects and, secondly, the technology exists to mitigate the consequences. If oceans are rising a bit you build a barrier. So far, nothing has really happened to warrant the hysteria over climate change.

I didn't know that the guy behind the start of global warming (Revelle of Scripps Ocean Institute) actually changed his mind before his death. Al Gore was his student at Harvard and got a D in the class and later called Revelle senile when he clearly wasn't. Fascinating video.

I may be "a idiot".

I don't deny any of the diseases you list.

What was that guys name who refused the polio vaccine? The one who who refused, and everyone died of polio, I can't remember - do you know it? Or maybe it was the guy who never got the smallpox vaccine because he didn't get the memo. Either way, the one person (or millions) in the U.S. who didn't get his vaccine - and everyone died as a result?

We hung those bastards, right?

Good. Let's hang anyone who refuses a flu shot. Fucking savages. No compliance no right to live - AMIRITE?

I may be a idiot, but I'm not afraid to force my beliefs on to others by force. 'Merica!

I actually can't even

Stefan has some pretty strong feelings about AGW, and he used to be in climate modeling:

Apparently there's now a 2nd Climategate going on... This is a brand new video.

^ I skipped around the video, but believe I heard him recommend something to the effect of not trusting or being skeptical of government backed things. He should know that 15 of the 20 biggest oil companies are state owned, and the 5 that aren't do massive political lobbying. This makes it harder for him to frame it entirely as a "people vs. the politicians" type of issue.

That's interesting because from the view of the other "side" there is also a recent controversy that resembles a past one. According to the May 10 print edition of The Economist, a recent IPCC report had some emissions figures deleted because of demands from Saudi Arabia and other countries. There were similar stories back in 2007.
