Confused Believer

Says a religious butt hurt person. Religious people don't like to be called out. So naturally deflecting that Atheist are indeed radical or extream or the problem is the way to go. Believe me bro, Atheists aren't the problem. You act like they should just sit on the sidelines and the let everyone go on their marry way.

I don't think the subject of religion or lack-of is worthy of discussion, especially the amount of press it gets when it comes to politics and political candidates - how does that make me a "religious butt hurt person" ?

lol?

Meh he should have asked an orthodox jewish rabbi. Those are all old testament which are overturned by new testament.

there is 1 question I ask Christians or religious people before I consider talking with them further in order to gauge their sanity level.

How old do you think the Earth is?

If they answer this wrong I will immediately stop talking to them and mark them as 'DO NOT TALK TO' in my mind/life.

Atheist extremism and religious extremists: the same nuts, just grown on a different tree.

You seem like you've got your head screwed on right but you can't seriously believe that.

When did an atheist blow himself up for atheism?

Atheism preaches rational thought, whereas religion preaches hate and killing, look how many people have died in the 21st century alone due to religion or due to things masked by religion.

Sure atheists come across strong but only because it is infuriating to pose logical answers to people who reply with illogical, mental nonsense.

Newton was a strong god believer. So, I posted it for the atheists

Not a captain random of course.

Not quite.

You obviously didn't live in the good old Soviet Union. Why do you think a bunch of Russians are here; "freedom of religion". I can say the same thing about China.
Ignorant asses wouldn't know anything about that. Dont even try.
Oh no my catholic mother was a tyrant on my beliefs. You so soft. Get over it.

Found below is an open letter to the host of a popular Catholic TV show here in Manila. It's HILARIOUS...

Hi,

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's laws. I have learned a great deal from your show and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. I do however need some advice from you, regarding some other elements of God's laws and how to follow them...

1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Koreans, but not Singaporeans. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Singaporeans?

2. I would like to sell my son into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for him?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of Menstrual uncleanliness -Lev15: 19-24. The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord -Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the cops to do it?

6. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have defective eyesight. I have to admit that I'm permanently blind. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

7. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

8. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may my friends still play football if they wear gloves?

9. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I'm confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging...

Best Regards,

Confused Believer

lol this is quite funny, how about other religion, any experience with the others?

Isn't the point that the whole bible is the word of god through lord baby jesus,

Jesus didn't author any of the Bible and said that "eye for an eye" was wrong and to instead turn the other cheek.

No religion is peaceful

Jainism? Buddhism?

Atheism preaches rational thought,

Atheism is a descriptive noun, so what you mean is that "atheists preach." Even then, you are only talking about a small percent of atheists. 80% of people in Vietnam are atheist and probably most of them don't spend much time preaching or even thinking about it. Many of them likely believe in various superstitions, and 80% is such a large percent that a certain number of them must also have low IQs, be mentally retarded, etc.

Simple enough.

A sincere believer that honestly sought answers to their questions and researched the ways in which each passage of the Bible has been thoroughly vetted would not be at all confused. An anti-Christian would be the one who would post such a letter in order to lead people astray without taking into context their selective quotes.

It is amazing how many modern day lay people feel they can outwit and trump the intellectual examinations that Christianity has already survived.

This is one religion that invites all to "come let us reason together".

Just lost a load of respect for Deliguy. Would think twice about doing business with
anyone who thinks the universe works in the way described in the bible/koran.

Eli is a great guy and how people act and how trustworthy they are is much more important than their personal religious beliefs

I'm getting too old for this shit.

The OP was an obvious troll attempt on the Catholic Church... Talk about picking an easy target. Still funny tho.

@Deli: You're OK in my book. Just don't try to get creationism taught in schools, K? That's just harmful.

@Rusky: So your people got a bad rap at the hands of Atheists. Big whoop. The Native Americans got a Far larger beating by the hands of Christians. Oh yeah, so did pretty much the rest of the damn planet over the last 1000 years, too. It's obvious to everyone here that the Russians who fled that horrible persecution are a bit biased in their thinking. It does NOT make atheism bad. Face the facts, man!

And as for those who feel that Atheist extremism (lol!) is even in the same ballpark or hemisphere even with reglious extremism, I'm gonna post this pic one last time to make you feel stupid:

We don't kill. We don't force you to listen to us even... We just freaking don't like it when you force creationism on our own children!

How can these be compared? Sheesh...
