Cops Kill Black Man, Caught On Tape

Do you really not get that police can exert their power without killing someone just because he didn't immediately surrender? Is it that difficult? Black and white so awesome.

Sure. That's why he used a choke hold. He tried to kill him or he's really that stupid.

No, he used a choke hold because power is corrupting and he holds no real accountability.

He got frustrated since he couldn't get the correct reaction to his power; submission. The reason for power is power: namely, to have control. He wanted to have control over the guy. He wanted the guy to show submission.

The guy did not. He did not show aggression or resistance, but he did not show submission. If you have ever seen a brown-noser in action, that is submission.

So he recurred to excessive force to show his power and obtain submission. He did this regardless of the merit of the situation or the legality of his actions. He disregarded the consequences of his actions since he knows he will 99.99999% likely not have to be accountable for them.

And you are defending him. Which means, you are a Fascist.

If you look at my posts, I've actually defended police using lethal force in dangerous situations. That type of shit comes with the territory. Hell, I'll even agree that the guy wasn't smart and therefore it is no big loss to humanity that he is gone. But him going under the circumstances and reasons he did, is a tragedy for all of humanity. The problem with not getting outraged because of that is that he is supposed to have 'rights', that is what police are there to defend; people's rights. That is why we give them power, and why they should have checks and balances (the division of power in government and all). Now, the thing about rights is that, by definition, they apply to all.

So he should have his rights, regardless if he isn't a valuable member of society. He should be, as was once a novel idea; equal before the law.

That is what Fascist don't understand. Unfortunately, fascist such as yourself think you can never become obsolete, so who cares about those who are.

You have officially succeeded in misinterpreting what I've said entirely. Twice.

And you're the only one who has your awesome ground breaking thoughts. Blows my mind. I'm a fascist btw. Any kind of irony about this would sound lame because your oblivitivity is whole.

It was perfect, it was rounded, symmetrical, complete, colossal.

Once he said "don't touch me" the game was rough. They have tried to get him on a normal way but, he didn't listen. Still choke hold is not a deadly tool IF it isn't meant to be a deadly tool. He was unfortunately unlucky due to his condition, or the cop who got him, injured his cartilago thyroidea and killed him. I have just watched that scene tens of times with the guys who do this kind of things for a sport, and they said this hold was meant to cut off the air supply (bad choice because cop should go for cutting out the blood supply instead, squeezing that guy's arteries on the neck to avoid injuring important organs). Additionally, if enough force is applied you can quite easily injure cartilago thyroidea and that's it, game is over. So tho cop made mistake and applied a wrong hold, or the power he used was to big.

You know you shouldn't comment on something when you've turned yourself into am expert by listening to mma bitches trying to give medically sounding explanations of why they desperately try to do really stupid things in exchange for their five minutes of Fame.

Wow did this debate really turn into a discussion about a utopian society? And I am the one who fucks chickens?

No I don't know. What's your point anyway?

It would be a fun thought experiment. Building a system of law from the ground up - sans democracy, sans government - makes 99% of our current laws seem silly. :)
This is essentially what is going down (not the experiment part) with cypherpunkery & specifically Lex Cryptographia today. We live in extremely exciting times.

So you either go with some Form of democracy or have a bloody struggle for power. Not too many novelty options out there.
Well, there's a bunch of times and places where anarchy thrived on some level; Medieval Ireland was a particularly long-standing anarchy, some say thousands of years without an irish king, just thousands of small, peaceful compounds or micro-serfdoms.

That's not good enough for me of course, but today we're finally at a point where some new options can start working, so I'm working towards seeing those happen.

Let's say I've read some of that material. Or something similar. I've read locke. You need to explain why something like your ancap dreams don't exist in the present. Would it not be correct to assume that such societies would be easily dismantled By foreign military Invasion?
There are many books spelling out exactly why this couldn't happen; Bob Murphy's Chaos Theory and Stephan Molyneux's Practical Anarchy are both freely available and do a good job explaining this.

Get to the interesting stuff. It's difficult to have such thought experiments that take place in a utopia bubble. I don't care for democracy any more than you do, but wishful thinking won't get you something that differs in major ways from prehistoric, ancient, medieval, renaissance or modern civilizations.
You can't change someones' religion by burning down their church.

Statism is a religion. That means that there is no way whatsoever to use military force to change to anarchy or even just hold it there... Anarchy, the lack of statism, is something that can only be achieved through widespread, strong-majority choice.

People have to come to anarchy first before it can be realized. For hundreds of years now the best thinkers have always concluded that this means we must convert everyone through 1-on-1 dialog such as we anarchists are attempting to do with you on this thread now.

Luckily, today we have a new option; Cryptoanarchy will deliver anarchy to people without them even realizing it; They'll embrace free services like bittorrent and money like Bitcoin because of the obvious benefits it brings them, and more and more of these services will appear where government services used to exist until one day even the most obtuse crackwhore will look around and say, "Hey, if I'm getting all this good shit for free, what the fuck am I still paying taxes for?"

This wasn't an option until the day someone realized that P2P networks could completely evade government takedown. It should be obvious to anyone paying attention that the answer to all our problems is to simply remake everything on a P2P network.

I wonder when people are going to actually stand up for themselves and create a real "police" force made up entirely of civilian volunteers.

Here's a basic cryptoanarchists' solution for this problem:

I wonder when people are going to actually stand up for themselves and create a real "police" force made up entirely of civilian volunteers. We have every right to do so.

If a cop threatened your life and you were armed, would you hesitate? I know I wouldn't, regardless of the consequences.

I spoken about this to a lot of people and they support it. Creating a peoples police and peoples court system that arrest corrupt police and corrupt politicians. People who are generally "immune" from laws.

If only we knew where to find a Public Minister/Diplomat to preside over it all...

So you're saying you want to raise an armed force to replace the government force through non-political means? Good luck bro...

Great, so you give another group the power and then they become corrupt too.
And that too...

And just think, the incident could have turned out quite different:
