Got A DUI & I've Been Sober For 2 years

WTF!? A cop gave me a DUI in Mesa, Arizona on Thursday night and I was completely sober and haven't drank or smoked weed in the past 2 years and I'm on no prescription medication or anything like that. Now I face going to jail for 30 days and pay thousands in fines. What the fuck should I do?

Did you have blood taken or get a breathalyzer? There's obviously more to this story.
 
I took a breathalyzer test and they took my blood and piss. I told him I'm sober and he said he was sure I was high or on something. All I had that day was some tea, and that punk cop was screaming at me and telling me he doesn't believe me. WTF is this Martial Law?
 
LOL.... Are you mexican? Because I know they arrest mexicans for no reason now in the oh so wonderful state of Arizona. But with this aside; I went snowboarding last year and some ass fuck cop pulled me over and searched my car (for no reason, but yeah I did give him consent which you should never do) and found a prescription to xanax. He was kind of a dick about it and said he could give me a ticket if he thought i was taking the medication at the time of driving (bullshit though)

But in short, if you took a blood test or a breathalyzer and your tests came back as negative, you shouldnt be found guilty of anything. I wouldnt even bother with a lawyer as they cost money; unless you were going to sue his station or something for wrongful arrest with no evidence.
 
Anyone know if it's good idea to lie to cops to get out of the breathalizer test when they ask you if you've been drinking but you know you're under the legal limit?

It seems even if they decide to give you the test anyway and it shows you've had a couple but are under the legal limit, they can't take you into jail for lying. So might as well lie and say no.
 
I'm not mexican but I'm not fully white either, but on the ticket the cop wrote that I'm white so I don't think that'd be the problem. I feel like getting a lawyer just to be on the safe side. There's no way I want to go to jail over something I didn't really do. That cop shouldn't be a cop he's crazy.
 
None of this makes any sense. looks like bad troll is bad. Were you charged with anything? What was the final analysis? Did you just wake up from a dream?
 
No, this really happened, I'm not trying to be a troll at all. I have 3 charges the 1st charge is from 1 headlight that happened to be out which was why I was pulled over. I can understand getting a warning for the headlight. But then the other 2 charges are DUI & DUI drugs so I have 2 separate DUI charges. So I guess having 1 headlight out can get you 2 DUIs in Mesa, AZ while being completely sober. He also kept making me do sobriety tests over and over again. Probably like 10 different tests and he kept making me repeat the same ones. He said my eyes were shifty and he was screaming at me while he had a bright ass flashlight in my eyes. So it was making me anxious as fuck because I knew he was wrong.

Looks like I'll be getting a lawyer, is there any chance I'll get my money back from the city of Mesa? Or am I most likely at a loss no matter what happens at this point?

What did you blow in the breathalyzer? What PROOF is he going to hold onto in court? Something is missing....

And yeah, get a lawyer.

Only if you sue them. So what was the read out on the breathalyzer? He had to tell you? They should have the results back fairly soon on the blood. What are they going to find in your system? Are you on any prescriptions? Even if you dont think it matters it might? Have you contacted the hospital that did the test? Or did they do them in house? How did you get released? Did you have to go to any court yet? Did you bond out?

The burden of proof is on you. Depending on when this happened it may be worthwhile to go get another blood test (the sooner the better) by an independent physician to prove your clean (it might not help even if you do this)

He told me he's been a cop for 10 years and he's never wrong. He didn't tell me what I blew in the breathalyzer, I guess he has such a big ego that he thinks my blood and piss is going to come back dirty. His confidence worries me because it almost seems like he might be able to do something to my blood or piss to make me fail the tests. I just can't believe there's such crooked cops out there its sickening.
