Massive shooting in Colorado during The Dark Knight, 14 dead

Is really a far more practical, less Showmanship title of predicament: You happen to be sitting in a cinema. Three series in front of you a man compares as well as starts off firing. You first of all believe it can be section of the movie, after that recognize it isn't really. It becomes an unforeseen occasion so that you initially usually are not certain how to respond, then you definitely fumble to your pistol, operate, and get picture stage bare as you merely place yourself right in front of a rifle firing maniac.

the fuck do you need books for. had the audience been armed the guy woulda been dead in an instant.

You're kidding right? LOL. This would be Golden Comedy.

Gunman opens fire.
Citizen A see's Gunman and pulls out his gun to fire.
Citizen B see's Citizen A and thinks Citizen A is Gunman and takes aim.
Citizen C see's Citizen B and thinks Citizen B is Gunman and takes aim.

Repeat until everyone in theatre is dead.

You mean to tell me that in a dark theatre where a smoke bomb was set off, you DON'T think there would be confusion, and people would just start shooting anyone they saw that had a gun drawn? Please don't be a fucking idiot sir.

Like I said...it would be downright cartoon like to see everyone shooting at each other.

It reminds me of a bar fight I was in years ago. This guy started a fight in a bar, and it escalated out in to the parking lot with everyone in the bar scrapping it out. I think after 10-15 minutes people didn't even know why they were fighting and the guy who started it all had taken off in a cab as soon as the fight left the bar and rolled out into the lot.

I bet if the people in the theatre were armed, the original gunman could have just started shit, then left while everyone else just proceeded to kill each other.

Check out this video of people who were there in the theater. One girl they interviewed literally had a gun pointed at her face. And my question is, why the fuck are they so calm and relatively unfazed?

The people freaking out the most aren't going to want to be interviewed, but also :

Shock and denial are typical responses to traumatic events and disasters, especially shortly after the event. Both shock and denial are normal protective reactions.

Shock is a sudden and often intense disturbance of your emotional state that may leave you feeling stunned or dazed. Denial involves not acknowledging that something very stressful has happened, or not experiencing fully the intensity of the event.

I grew up down the street literally pretty close to home my friends little brothers got hit but they are recovering.

I highly doubt it. Most people that carry legally are not completely fucking retarded.

You and I agree.

My post was meant for those who argue that banning firearms would make society safer. Some even argue that mass murder, such as we've seen in Aurora, Columbine, etc., would not occur, or might occur less often. The position is usually based on ignorance of data, and inflamed by media accounts of death and mayhem at the hands of gunmen.

Lott presents an exhaustive amount of data in his work that counters common misconceptions regarding gun ownership and crime. I invited the naysayers to read a little on the subject lest they appear foolish.

For Very Few, and Almost NOBODY on WF, reading leads to enlightenment.

Fixed.

Personally, I'd be aiming for the guy with the AR15, not a handgun.
