Kid went to my middle and high school, only a grade below me. One of my good friends was in multiple classes with him and another had him over for dinner at their house before. Creepy.
Or..... maybe... JUST MAYBE..... we just fire at the guy who flung the gas canister in, who is dressed in fully body armor, and a gas mask, and who opens fire with an ar-15 in the air right before he starts shooting everyone...

i've had a gun pointed at my face, i worked a convenience store & got robbed. the answer to your question is that in the moment, its both sudden & ordinary, like anything else. the guy might as well be pointing a copy of GQ at you. moments pass, you don't freak, there isn't "movie music" and you do what you'd do. you agree, but there's no time to go through everything you'd lose & all that, you just do what you'd do. there is a slight moment of thinking that this isn't how they portray it in the movies, its much more subtle, its just a choice & you pull the phone cord out of the wall like they ask & see what they fuck else they want. once you're done, there is a certain calm about it, like "it happened". and then everyone wants to ask you about it over & over like you're a celebrity, but there isn't much to say.

If someone comes into a movie theater, guns blazing with obvious body armor on, and someone is CCW, I would assume they'd be on the floor or trying to be as discreet as possible while firing at the assailant in order to get off as many shots as possible before becoming the focus of his attention.
People who obey gun laws and have CCW don't shoot up fucking movie theaters.

I live in Denver. A cop was shot in the face and died a few weeks ago by some porch ape less than 500 yards from my house. This shit happen literally across the street from me. Since I have a felony on my record, I'm not legally allowed to carry/own a gun. So I have to decide when I leave the house everyday "Well, I can carry this gun and risk 10 years in prison if I get pulled over with it, or I can just hope some piece of shit doesn't try and car jack me at 7-11 and blow my face off".
I have no violent past, I'm not going to rob anyone or kill anyone. Yet I can't legally protect myself from the scum in this city, to protect myself I need to either risk imprisonment or not leave the house at all.
Felony for weed = not allowed to own a firearm = hope for the best when you leave the house.

There are too much guns and they are too easy to obtain. Isn't limiting, or even prohibiting guns from being bought one of the issues here? Your laws in this regard are retarded and I'm no liberal (duno wtf that means really), I'm fucking european, which automatically makes me against firearms being owned by people other then military and police.
