This is scary

You're getting so much into the analogy used that it's actually comical. I'm addicted to religious cigarettes? Addicted? Haha.

You think it is comical because you don't follow the logic.

"Addicted? Haha." You still sound like you're in denial.

-----------

Please don't respond saying my logic is invalid. I already know that this is what you think. Let others read it and post their opinions and we'll see what others say.

Yeah, multiple people already have. They're disagreeing with you and making fun of you.

Yep, gotta watch out for those Tibetan Monks, they'll shank their own mother for dollar.

In my simplified analogy.

birth or atheism (you aren't smoking yet) < religion (when you decide to start smoking) < religious extremism (when you're addicted) < violence (cancer, death)

After a Tibetan ("Tibetan cigarette smoker") reaches the peak of their religion (fully addicted) it would equate to death.

They aren't living their life anymore. They're totally engrossed in their day to day Tibetan lifestyle.

Yeah, multiple people already have. They're disagreeing with you and making fun of you.

Well the lack of response from logicflux to my logical arguments actually says a lot more. (This is the person who is actually able to follow my logic, however, unlike yourself.)

I highly doubt anyone makes fun of someone or disagrees with someone on WF by remaining silent.

Is anyone agreeing with you?

There simply is no one else yet responding, no one has jumped on either side yet. (if we just are going back to this argument)

If you want to go back to the rest of WF I can cite innumerable examples of people disagreeing with you.

People disagreeing with me are people that have irreconcilable views with my own. (theists)

Such as yourself.

You should read my last and final post in the atheist music thread which was addressed directly at you.

I shouldn't even worry about what you believe.

As long as you live your life in a way that doesn't interfere with mine, it's no bother of mine.

There's absolutely no reason it should bother me. (although I've been letting it bother me)

You shouldn't worry about an atheist's belief either... if you even did to start with. There's no way you're going to be able to change them. If an atheist offends you please don't let it get to you. Just know that your beliefs are personal and that no atheist will ever be able to understand them. I mean this in the most sincere of ways.

We should never had entered into this debate. I'm sure I haven't budged your original position that, I'm a tool, a bit. You haven't budged my original position either.

We used a lot of energy and got nowhere.

But in all honesty, I think I did get somewhere. Hopefully, we got somewhere. I now know how to more efficiently allocate my energy. Hopefully, you've learned not to truly waste your time trying to budge a stubborn atheist's position.

Truthfully, Unripe

You mad because I'm toppling your pedestal.

I know you are all having fun and avoiding work. But this video is misleading.

Obama said in a complicated sentence that:

Many americans have had muslims in their family.

Or lived in a primarily muslim country.

And that he counted himself as one of them and then started to talk about his father (muslim) and the countries he lived in that count. Indonesia.

Learn to listen.

I highly doubt anyone makes fun of someone or disagrees with someone on WF by remaining silent.

Seeing we are 78.4% Christian & 0.6% Muslim we should have 129 more christian terrorists acts to make this an apples for apples argument.

Disagreeing with you would mean agreeing with me.

If you want to go back to the rest of WF I can cite innumerable examples of people disagreeing with you.
Once again, you're bringing up facts that are completely irrelevant to the argument.

People disagreeing with me are people that have irreconcilable views with my own. (theists)
I would think some of the people disagreeing with you here aren't theists. I'm not sure why you keep thinking this has to do with all of our personal beliefs. This has to do with your personal beliefs and your statements that all religion is evil, and equally evil at that. This spawned from me quoting your post in this thread.

You're way too worried about everybody's personal beliefs to even form a coherent statement. It's like your paranoid everybody is a theist and only atheists will be your friend. That may not be the case, but it's seriously what it looks like.

You mad because I'm toppling your pedestal.
My what? Haha, this argument isn't about me at all. I'm disagreeing with your statements, and have been proving why. I haven't been talking about myself at all here.

Do you seriously read your posts over? You sound like a nut with the level of depth you've gotten into an inaccurate analogy. You got it wrong in the first place, tried to recover by just twisting it into your own version, and now you're just babbling with nobody listening.

After "threatening" to cite disagreements people have with me I counter by saying.....

If you want to go back to the rest of WF I can cite innumerable examples of people disagreeing with you.

I thought you'd agree that it's pointless to do so since you do have people that disagree with you too (cites all examples here). A lot of the times you have no rebuttal at all. (cites all those here)

Anyway, after posting my above quote this is your direct response to that quote.

Once again, you're bringing up facts that are completely irrelevant to the argument.

So you think the fact that some people disagree with you is irrelevant? Yes, I do too (which is why I didn't actually go ahead and do it) and I thought you'd see that sooner.

Most if not all of the disagreements you posted I've already posted rebuttals to. (cites all those here)

I could post a shit ton of people disagreeing with too. Just because I'm not going to do so doesn't mean I can't.

It's asinine because a lot of the disagreements have rebuttals made by you too, so I'd have to post those also to be fair.

Basically, you admit it's irrelevant and then you go on to post disagreements anyway most of which I've rebuked already.

I would think some of the people disagreeing with you here aren't theists. I'm not sure why you keep thinking this has to do with all of our personal beliefs. This has to do with your personal beliefs and your statements that all religion is evil, and equally evil at that. This spawned from me quoting your post in this thread.

Some of the people disagreeing with me aren't theists, you're correct.

But the ones that continue to berate and debate usually and have been, so far, theists. (such as yourself and at this point you are the only one) Otherwise, we reach an amicable conclusion and stop.

You're way too worried about everybody's personal beliefs to even form a coherent statement. It's like your paranoid everybody is a theist and only atheists will be your friend. That may not be the case, but it's seriously what it looks like.

It isn't the case.

My what? Haha, this argument isn't about me at all. I'm disagreeing with your statements, and have been proving why. I haven't been talking about myself at all here.

I'm not sure if by "My what?" you mean you don't understand what the word means or if you're just playing like your not standing on one...

Trust me you haven't proved a single thing (except that your also stubborn). Nor, have I apparently proven a single thing to you. Which is why I continue to say to you this is pointless and we should stop. You should stop. We should stop.

Do you seriously read your posts over? You sound like a nut with the level of depth you've gotten into an inaccurate analogy. You got it wrong in the first place, tried to recover by just twisting it into your own version, and now you're just babbling with nobody listening.

I think people can understand it. If not I hope someone speaks up.

-----------------

Can we please agree to disagree? I'm being serious. I keep trying to create opportunities for us to quit arguing, but it isn't working.

Do you think I can ever change a single thing that you believe? ...............think about it................do you have an answer?
.
.
.
Do I think I can ever change your mind....... No, I don't.

There is no reason we should continue this debate.

If you make another post, please make it in closing. Just agree to disagree.

Seeing we are 78.4% Christian & 0.6% Muslim we should have 129 more christian terrorists acts to make this an apples for apples argument.

Can't we just count the last two thousand years of Christian terror? It was bloody, horrifying and incited MUCH terror. It's amusing to me that because no christians have decided to blow themselves up in the last 20 years (wait that's not quite true though if you count the IRA carbombers now is it) that suddenly this is such an angelic (pun pun???) religion and OH SO MUCH BETTER than it's cousin, Islam.

I just thought of one more thing....dammit.....this will either set you off or finish it. (I shouldn't be posting it, since we should end this thing...but it's gnawing at me)

If you had a radical Christian (ie: any member from the Army of God or any other Christian that has taken it to the extreme) and a radical Islamist (ie: any member from al-qaeda or any other Muslim that has taken it to the extreme).

Pull any one individual from both groups and place them side by side.

Could you tell me which one is more dangerous?

You'd have to argue about the size of their weapons.

The point is they're both equally dangerous. Insofar as they want to kill people.

-------------

Edit: If you make another post, please make it in closing. You can disagree but in the end just agree to disagree.

Muslims usually have a callous in the middle of their foreheads from bowing down and praying to Mecca 5x a day.

Obama=no callous=not Muslim=case closed.

Guys, don't hold it against her. We all love Turbo. It's just that she hates God for all the times the ice cream truck never stopped for her 25 cents.
She means well..... really!

Very difficult to do since the Crusades were more of a civil war between all forms of christianity of the time. It was also the dark ages and I think we'd all agree that civilization as a whole has evolved since then.

It gets even more interesting when you consider how close to Darwinism Mein Kampf is. Although Hitler was born catholic it's easy to see that he's a Darwin atheist during of his bloodiest years.

I'm tempted to give the go ahead there since, in the end, we'll simply discover that humans, not religions or lack thereof, are vile & blood thirsty creatures ... at least then the atheists will stop acting all holier than thou (pun pun???).

Nice one. (referring to the pun) and I would sooo look forward to an world without religion. You are right, as humans we would probably just find something else to fight about, but not killing each other over superstitions would be a huge start.

There's a nice equal comparison.

3,000 innocent people versus a murderer who had 60,000 deaths on his conscience.

Nice and equal. But let's keep the myth going anyways, shall we? It just feels so good.

You're equating adults to cell bundles.

Or at the maximum you're equating adults to incompatible with life fetuses.
