Ya lets not blame the muslims

To be "like Christ", not Christ.

I cant be "like hellblazer" if I am hellblazer.

Who can be more like me than myself? Who could be more like Christ than Christ?

He wasn't a Jew. Ethnically or genetically, to some degree even religiously, yes, but he introduced a new spiritual blueprint to the world. And he was the first embodiment of that blueprint.

Jesus was a Jew. He knew it, everyone around him knew it.

Christians are followers of his message and teachings.

If Jesus was a Christian ( and the son of God ), why aren't Christian's God's chosen people then? Jews are.

Jesus was a Jew, his followers of his message are Christians.

Arguing religion on WF is ..... pointless!

Nobody is going to have an open mind here one way or the other.

Weird, because it really sounds like you're trying to make a case for God not existing based upon the fact that people died, in this quote:

I'm making the case that if he really does exist, he obviously doesn't give a fuck. See Slayer's "God hates us all" lyrics, makes more sense. Or George Carlin's rant on how if God exists, he's more like an office clerk with a bad temper. Seriously..

...but you're in the real world here. You can say that the existence of God can't be proven 100%(and even that is debatable), but to say that there is no evidence is quite retarded indeed. The Bible is absolutely stuffed with facts, figures, and events in history that have been confirmed by secular atheists, but even they aren't foolish or deceitful enough to lie about it.

I sincerely hope God does not exist. The Bible's depiction of him is one of a mass murderer, evil, vile, jealous, deranged being. The last being I would ever want to worship would be the Christian God.

Fortunately, the likeliness of him existing is pretty much 0. Good link to browse around if you can get over the cartoon animation portrayal of the facts: God & Jeffery - YouTube

Also, referring to the Bible as being factual is humorous. It's a fictional book.

Anthropomorphism is a human fault

I cant wait for the day when civilization advances to the point where following a religion is classified as a mental illness.

Indeed. It's also really sad to me that so many proclaimed anarchists/anarcho-capitalists/libertarian-philosophists/NAP-believers profess faith in religion, which is essentially the submission to a ruler (deity). It's really prominent in the anti-state movement, some people just can't rid themselves of all the propaganda they've experienced.. They got rid of the state, but religion, nope, too much for them to handle.. Sometimes it's vice-versa.. They're atheist but huge state supporters..

No rulers... No politicians, No gods.

Someone doesn't understand what voluntarism is.

I never once referenced voluntarism.. Anarchism I did, which means without rulers; which is inclusive of invisible sky ghosts who you must obey and do x, y and z in order to bang 72 virgins, enter into heaven, etc..

Edit: I was loose in using "libertarians", as there's the libertarian political movement (not to be confused with the libertarian philosophical movement) which definitely believes in the need for limited rulers.

Voluntarily following something isn't being ruled.

What you (and others) seem to be implying is that people should not be allowed to develop their own thoughts, beliefs or conscience.

That's a socialistic ideal, not a libertarian one.

No, no no. I'm entirely against forcing people to do anything as long as they're not breaking the NAP. Professing belief/faith in a religion doesn't break the NAP, just as ingesting lines of coke, downing a 24 pack, etc.., doesn't break the NAP. But voluntarily speaking out against certain acts / belief systems is certainly in line with ideas of voluntarism/anarchism.. it's an attempt of persuasion.

In other words, it's worth being vocal about certain things people indulge in (whether it be drugs, religion, etc..) that may not break the NAP, but they can be unhealthy to the individual or those around them. I'm just trying to use the power of persuasion, debate, to further humanity, as corky as that sounds.

Or in other words, a "libertarian" world where you decide what people can and cannot think, what are and are not valid beliefs, is really no different than a statist world, it's just YOU projecting the values instead of someone else.

This is what happens when people become bitter and dogmatic. What's happening in this thread isn't good communication. It isn't inclusive. It's not making any progress.

Instead, it's a bunch of people digging in and yelling at each other about the most mindless, pointless and repetitious debate ever, as repeated ad infinitum on thousands of websites across the internet.

I know lots of wonderful Christians, Jews and Muslims, and I know a lot of shithead atheists. If you asked me who I want as a neighbor, it's someone decent, regardless of their belief system.

Oh, and fuck y'all. I am pretty sure we were created by ancient aliens and seeded on this planet as part of some galactic science experiment. No troll.

That's not your decision to make.

Sounds like bullshit to me.
